Almost agree, you must have erased the Will Maher years from your memory, sorry for the reminder!
of course Will Maher, what was i thinking of, yet i see KR have given Will another years contract so perhaps im missing something :-"
We gave him a long contract too, didn’t mean he could break a tackle unfortunately

Bit off topic but just sticking up for big Will. Just done an outstanding first stint for Hull kr in a playoff game. Strong carries and just as strong in defence. Sometimes these young kids just need an arm round them and give them some confidence and game time.Obviously the much decorated Tony Smith sees more in him than you Alf.

It’s a very good point IMHO. At Times a player just needs to be loved in order to bring out their best attributes! At the end of the day WM still has a chance of grand final glory. We don’t. Crafty old coach is Tony Smith.

Wherever it goes.. I've met Matagi.. says he's signed for saints next year. Not at Cas. Gutting tbh thought he'd do really well in cas colours

To clarify he said it wasn't up to him. Wrong decision by Cas for me

Will Maher turning out to be the forward we thought he could be. Perhaps Cheyse Blair will next season, turn out to be the player he used to be. I myself think he seems to be homesick. I worked away for a couple of years, missed family greatly, thought at time I was doing the right thing to give them a better living financially. WRONG.

Played injured did maher at cas. He was having problems with his chest and Powell kept telling him to man up as he was being soft. Maher took himself to hospital and he had been playing with a fractured sternum. Great man management by powell

How would you prove such a claim? Especially as, in December 2018, Matty Crowther said:

“Unfortunately, on day one of pre-season Will Maher ruptured his pectoral muscle so he’s going to be out for a while. He needs surgery. He’s never injured is Will, he’s never missed any games through injury it’s just a very unfortunate injury on day one. The fortunate part is that he’ll be back within three months, so it will take him the full pre-season.”

Hardly sounds as uncaring as you suggest…

Tony Smith as done a fantastic job with a number of players like Will Maher... Abdull was a player that continually got rubbished when he was at Hull he's turned into one of best half backs in SL now

Had a few good games but still not super league standard.

Can you imagine Maher with tyla's aggression. He'd be unstoppable.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could clone our own players.

Be easy for the commentary team with 17 Paul McShanes in the team every week.

If I were his coach I'd be telling him to study Walmsley and the way he runs it in. They're a similar stature but Will is slightly taller so should be more effective.

Because I know him. He was in pain during every game at cas. Playing better at Hull kr
