Just signed an extension at Brisbane for 2022.
Someone like Ash Taylor would suit SL down to the ground, but I think there will be an NRL team willing to gamble on him.
He's also on $1m a year

He is until the end of this season, but he’ll be lucky to get 25% of that next year if an NRL club is even willing to take a chance on him.

Ash Taylor and Tyrone Peachey released by Gold Coast Titans.
Both would suit Super League.

Indeed.
To be honest, I’d be surprised if either ended up in Super League. But the NRL teams have a salary cap too, and most of them are more-or-less set for 2022.

Peachey looks useful but would probably be out of our salary range. I might have taken a punt on Brodie Croft whose gone to Salford, appeared to have lost his way a bit but still got a great skill set. Failing that,Gale the young lad at Leeds might not relish falling down the pecking order with the arrival of Austin and Sezer, still got a lot to offer.

Peachey is on $600k at the Titans, even if he takes a cut, we still wouldn't get close.

Without being pedantic, that is what he *was* on.
He’s now OOC and and on $0, so he’s already taken a 100% cut and is unlikely to get anywhere near the value of his previous contact.
I still think both will find a spot in the NRL, but they are salary-capped too.

I’d be happy if they offloaded Richardson and brought Gale back in. Can’t see us competing for anything with the halves we have now .

Gale isn't the answer, not even on a short term basis. He's missed more than he's played the last 2 seasons through injury. That ship has well and truly sailed.

What about Ryan brierley, I believe he’s out of contract.
Scored tries for fun in a very poor Leigh team.

Seems settled at Leigh being their best player. Don't think he'd play back up again at this point in his career.

Would he be a back up tho? Surely he'd want to test himself in a team that can contend rather than stay at a team getting battered every week

Trueman and brierley sounds better than trueman and Richardson.
Just. A suggestion.
