Evalds

Post by Router1977 » 18 Jul 2021, 09:18

I am so made up for him winning the Lance Todd. I called it after 15 mins when he made catching the high ball look so effortlessly in the sun. I suppose it makes up for last year when he was magnificent for Salford and unlucky not to win it then.

It just proves how pivotal a good full back in a team is. The link up play at times reminded me of Luke Dorn. Cas have a great spine now for the next couple of seasons so no need to worry and on that basis I think the foundations are set for Radders to come in and get us over the winning line.

I also backed him and win £55 :D

Had an outstanding game, didn't put a foot wrong

Get a pack in that can dominate and he'll run riot

Showed his class. We absolutely need a top level half back though. And a monster forward.
I fancy us to compete well again if we get that.
Well done Niall. Quality.

This kid will only get better. With a bit of pace outside him next season, his game could go to another level.

I'm looking forward to seeing him play for rest of season... I agree if Radford gets all the pieces in place for next season he could go to a even higher level

Agreed with we need an experienced 6/7 who will get the team around the park. A few to add to the mix as follows:
Març Snyd. Been here before also worked under Radders. Good leader.
Blake Austin. Will not want to hang around at Wire with William's now signing. Better shot at winning silverware than at HKR or Leigh.
Chisholm. Quality for Fev. Age against him but bags of experience and game masterclass.

Think Austin will be at HKR. Would be hugely disappointed taking championship level players from Fev.
Sneyd would do. Prefer an Aussie if there is one available/affordable

Saints battered us down the middle.
Hopefully radford will bring some big forwards.
Been lacking that for years.

We missed matagi yesterday, but, getting the runs on Friday ruled him out for yesterday.

Radders likes a big pack so let's hope he brings some in

Desperately need more forwards who can take us forward. No one got us on the front foot yesterday, so hopefully Radders can bring us a couple of powerhouses in like he did for FC.

Superb game and he's solid as a rock. My only criticism of him is that I'd like to see him run the ball back sometimes and take the first tackle. Don't know if it is a tactical ploy but he almost seems scared to, instead handing it on to the winger.

I asked a player this and he said it's a tactical ploy from Powell.

Not uncommon.
Wigan were the masters of this when Tomkins was at full-back. You don’t want your main attacking threat returning the ball into a wall of defenders running at pace.
The idea is to get your full back running the ball on the second play when some defenders are still catching up with the players who chased hardest, or are knackered because they did keep up!

Excellent play from evalds solid under ball and attacking just wish we had pace of eden on field as made breaks but no speed backing up. Hope lee as a big pack and also pace come in to back up breaks. Also feel for evalds nothing worse than winning motm but been on losing team but when he had a few days to reflect he should take this as recognition from all around of his capabilities hope wane took note and use this to push for international chance. Finally could club take a picture of evalds with lance todd and mcshane with man of steele trophies together for club magazine
