Blair can cover backs or forwards, and is defensively strong. Jesse had his best game for a long time in semi. Not an easy decision.

Blair on his showing on Sunday would not be on the bus, Jesse agreed looked great in the semi but not so on Sunday

Blair AND Jesse had a chance to stand up and show their worth... Well they showed they worthless to me, neither stood out, in a team full of kids they looked like championship plodders.
what doesn't kill me simply makes me...stranger.

Id be surprised if Powell doesn't pick Foster. He rates him highly. Just hope we get through this week without anyone pulling up injured 🤞

I'd probably go

Evalds
Olpherts
Matuitia
Shenton
Turner
O Brien
Trueman
Watts
Mcshane
Millington
Holmes
Jesse
Massey

Matagi
Smith
Griffin
Milner

Jesse is the only really contentious one over Foster/Blair.

Jesse has been poor with the exception of one game were he was exceptional (and much better than the recent peak performances of Foster and Blair).

If we are to win we will need big performances across the park and he has put a more recent big performance in than the other options 🤷‍♂️

Castleford are all-clear on the testing front for Wembley. Daryl Powell has just confirmed they've posted a full round of negative tests, so they're good to go

Surely they will need to take another one on Thursday?
Why they have done one.

Move on.

About 7.30 am, then Asda cafe just off junction 21 of M1 for cooked breakfast about 9.15, Stanmore about 11.30-12.

I hope not. If we are to win on Saturday, I want it to be against the best Saints have, not a patched up side we’ve had to put it in last few games.

Problem with that is that if we win nobody will think we deserve it, if we lose it’ll be an embarrassment

See the losing issue, but couldn't care less what anyone says if our name is being engraved on that magnificent trophy come tea time on Saturday.

Nobody cared when we had to give up on the double in 1970 because the RFL made us play our Championship Semi Replay against Saints in the week of Wembley so that we had to put a second string out., so I wouldn’t care if what went around came around.
Not that I believe a word of it!!

69 and 70 were special times and a certain mystique has grown up around both finals, aka a small mining town taking on big spending Salford and winning and then doubling up the following year against the mighty Wigan, truth is in both seasons we were consistently the better side, not underdogs. Hull KR a different matter and we upped our game to beat them and no doubt we'll have to do that against the Saints, I've no doubt whatsoever we'll turn up on Saturday and give it everything we have, can't ask for more than that and maybe just maybe the bounce of the ball favouring us a bit. #COYF

If we won the cup I’d take it by any means! If you have played in the game and you win then you deserve it what ever happens can only play what’s in front of you. I fully expect a fully fit saints team to turn out though it’s going to be one massive effort if we’re to do it!
