Wembley......have the club learned a lesson
Remembering 2014 and the poor showing for merchandising etc for the CC Final do we feel the club will fare any better this time around?
I know we have to wait for news on tickets but does anyone think the club have things in place already for when the information is released?
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a few quid and considering the club aren't so well off due to the circumstances how do we feel the club will approach this situation?
Scarves, t shirts, playing shirts, polos, hoodies etc we have in the shop already but what about actual CC Final 2021 merchandise?
If everyone bought just one piece of merchandise, regardless of securing a ticket, then that would surely cost the finances or am I being a bit optimistic?
We have the facilities with the 2 shops and the ground so lets use them and see what can be done.

Re: Wembley......have the club learned a lesson
just walked by the shop and to be honest you would never know we had a wembley trip coming up. there just does not seem to be any buzz in the town.i know there is a lot of uncertainty about but i put on another thread there will be a lot of people who won't be able to go so put a fanzone down at the ground and make some money.or do what they did in 2014 nothing.

That was my point greenhouse.
Just checked the website and there doesn't appear to be anything there yet.

just been on the tigers web site & i cant find any T shirts to do with Wembley?
Re: Wembley......have the club learned a lesson
I believe the RFL have mandated that the teams in the respective finals have to use a specific manufacturer for merchandise. I also believe most of the designs for merchandise were already agreed, and the button to "go" was pressed more or less immediately after the final hooter in the semi.
This is why the merchandise is only available in store and not on the website, as that's run by Elite Pro Sports who have nothing to do with the Wembley gear.
All four clubs are in the same boat, from what I can tell.

You can bet that the "Specific manufacturer" is a selected manufacturer as well.
I wouldn't have thought the RFL could stop teams selling their own merchandise but hey this is the RFL we are talking about.
Strange way to do business in such a short time span.

Just had a look and they have 6 different items including polo shirts, t shirts, hats and banners.
Seems they aren't doing as the RFL say if that is the case?

Just going from what I was told - that Cas order "from the same suppliers as St. Helens, Featherstone and York"... maybe Featherstone are using another supplier?Lofthouse Tiger wrote: ↑16 Jun 2021, 12:17 Just had a look and they have 6 different items including polo shirts, t shirts, hats and banners.

I note that their t-shirts and polo shirts aren't ready until 30th June, though.
Re: Wembley......have the club learned a lesson

Re: Wembley......have the club learned a lesson
thanks Burratha, i still find it strange that there's no Wembley gear on sale on the cas web site.
Re: Wembley......have the club learned a lesson
The shop's run by Elite Pro Sports, and they have nothing to do with the Wembley merchandise. I think the club would have needed to get a website re-work in order to bolt-in a temporary Wembley store. Maybe the availability of the web developer and/or the cost made it a non-starter?
A news article would have been useful, however.

Re: Wembley......have the club learned a lesson
To be fair, there could be a risk of buying too much merchandise and being left with loads of unsold stuff. As yet we have no idea of how many tickets will be available and whilst many would buy any old tat when getting behind a Wembley trip but the majority are likely to be going down.
Will there be a similar demand if only 5/6k fans can go?

Re: Wembley......have the club learned a lesson
God we're going to Wembley but you wouldn't think it walking round town. I understand people have had it hard and some still are. But this doesn't happen so often let's do something as stated where's the caps/ banners/ flags it's all turning a bit flat Christ I'm begining to think what's the point. The club's going down the sheyite hole.
