Just moving slightly away from the current topic but still relevant to the Cup Final, I note the game prior to the final is against Salford on the Sunday, surely it would make sense to play either on Thursday or Friday to allow us to rest over the weekend. Does anyone know if this is being pursued or do we just live with it.
Not a chance....
We play Huddersfield on the Tuesday... that's why Salford is on the Sunday afternoon.

Wait for it lol if Warrington can beat saints we can in final. Was a cracking defense from wire shows saints can be stopped can we defend like that in final let's hope so.

We've beaten Saints before just like Warrington did tonight. Press and get in their faces and they are there for the taking.

I can’t see the logic of playing a weakened side against Salford. Surely players need to be on best form to put them in the frame for selection for a Wembley final. Also anyone playing cautiously is just asking for an injury to happen. Total commitment required in my opinion.

Think we will definitely rest a good few. We rested up against Leeds the week before the CC semi and it worked a treat. Powell will more than likely to the same.

Do we have anyone that will definitely miss the final?
I can only think GOB may miss depending on the news from Wednesday night. Let’s hope he is fit and if we have a full squad to choose from then for me we have a fighting chance.
Only thing with a fully fit squad is that somebody will miss out. That would be a tough call.

Albeit Wigan are in a hole at the moment, Saints looked machine like & very solid tonight. They also seem injury free.
I get the feeling that, if we are turn them over in North West London, it will need a tactical masterpiece from DP that's at least on par with the semi final win.
Really important that our key players turn up and deliver.

So all being fit, Powell going to run with Olpherts and Turner out wide for their strength and contribution in yardage?
If Eden was fit would he be in contention? Is Quare Quare nowhere near unless of injuries?
Just thinking about that big Wembley pitch and Saints pace. Our three quarters- in fact 1-7 really not the quickest.
Intrigued to see the approach and ta tics he employs.

Were either going to be massively under cooked or fresh as a daisy for this one. Will have only played 1 game (Salford) assuming it goes ahead in the last 4 weeks before the final

IMO, we're 12 games in to the season, we should be good to go even without 2 weeks worth of games.
If anything, it's a blessing for us, as those with niggles and who aren't 100% have plenty of time to get themselves ready for it. Saints won't be happy we're missing games and getting bodies back ready.

Agree with Fords, if we are fresh and play well, it is a benefit.
If we are caught cold and get tonked, awful prep.
They say winning is a habit, we have seen losing is. I am latching on to it being a one off, so hopefully as the cliche goes form, or lack of it goes out of the window.

I’d play as weaker team as possible against Salford. Then keep those players as isolated as possible from the rest of the squad. Last thing you need on the run up to the cup final is a COVID outbreak. Remember a affect losing just one player had on the grand final.

I’ve had the email confirming payment but am waiting for them to request the names of people who I am attending with. It clearly states that this could be 7 days before the event.
