Re: Shenton
The right decision.
He has earned respect for his ability
I wouldn't blame anyone for wanting one more game.
It must leave a void which will be hard to fill.
Thanks and Good luck in your future endeavours
Just give us one last masterclass and who knows
Knock out football could be your swansong

Re: Shenton
He said in his interview how close he is with Daryl so maybe he might follow him to Wire and become an assistant.

Re: Shenton
Good luck to Shenny with whatever he does next.
A brilliant career and has bled Cas in a way that we all want as supporters of our club.
He has represented the club and the town in an exemplary manner and he has my gratitude for that.

Re: Shenton
Really nice article on the club website
Re: Shenton
Shenton has been the epitome of a loyal club player and deserves all the plaudits being tabled by the fan majority.
I do hope he goes on within the RL fraternity and become a very useful addition to RL in general in whatever capacity he may choose or be offered.

Re: Shenton
Yes, quite moving.
Some players bring more to the club and the game than just playing. They set the tone, set the standards and in a working environment which has some “hard to handle” individuals, prove invaluable to their employers. Michael is one such man and role model.
Best wishes and thanks for everything.

Re: Shenton
The ultimate professional and club man. Never heard one negative story about him in all the time he's been a Cas player. If a young lad wants to learn from anyone, it's Shenny.

Re: Shenton
Having struggled with depth for the past few years and now losing 2 centres but only bringing in 1, surely we've another back to come in. Any news?

Re: Shenton
Yes. A brilliant piece.
He's clearly been a key part of the fabric of the club and driven many positive behaviours around the place.

Re: Shenton
Thank you Shenny, lets have a last push this next month starting with a win on Thursday night.
What a great playing career and hope he continues within our game.

Re: Shenton
this season with the amount of players leaving our new coach will in no doubt be bringing a number in sit back and wait, there is no hurry,we already have a few tied up . and the CAS way is to announce other players just before season tickets are on sale

Shenny had been the model player and rightly get his name on the appearance board in the bar. Thanks

Re: Shenton
Anyway, thanks Shenny for everything you've done for this club, on and off the field.
Would love you to stay in some capacity but suspect you'll be looking to concentrate on your new life, whatever it many bring. You've earned that right.

Re: Shenton
Good Point Spotted Alf ! Still on the ball as ever !
Can't particularly blame him going to Saints though as money does come into it when raising a young family and also the prestige of going to a massive club !
He did come back to Cas though so his heart was always here in respect of loyalty !!
Re: Shenton
Knowing our fans people will moan at him tonight all game.
