He’s 50%+ better than the last 2yrs.
Don’t think that can be denied.
Still a lot of season to play.
He needs to keep his form up though.
playing for a year extension?????
Doubt he’ll get it.

As it stands Shenton is out of contract; no news on retirement/release/renew

Thursday could well be his last at WR (and for club) but no official confirmation either way.

Hope we get some clarification either way before game.

Without official announcement, he has already made it clear this year will be his last.

If I was him I would be away, owing to some of the comments on this forum which verge on abuse. This, after years of devotion and stand-out performances, to see that he’s “utter garbage” must be a kick in the teeth.
When he goes, he goes with my admiration. I’ve known him from the age of 10, and he’s a role model for all athletes.

I’d like him to stay at the club in some capacity.
But let’s be honest the last 2 seasons he as shown his age.
He’s been a great servant for the club.

Yep, cant help thinking that he should have slotted into Danny Orrs job when he moved on, Whatever peoples feelings about recent performances, his experience will be invaluable to the young uns

To be fair, the players take absolute no notice of this forum unless it's libelous.

Good defender but far too slow in attack. Been great for Cas but needs to call it a day now. Wouldn't surprise me if he was given some kind of coaching role under Radford.

What facts do you have to support this? We didn’t pay a transfer fee, unlike for lots of other players. Just because he came from the NRL it is assumed he’s on massive wages.

no facts mate but with fanfare he had and the lad playing for Melbourne first team, i should not think he will be on peanuts

The right decision.
He has earned respect for his ability
I wouldn't blame anyone for wanting one more game.
It must leave a void which will be hard to fill.
Thanks and Good luck in your future endeavours
Just give us one last masterclass and who knows
Knock out football could be your swansong

He said in his interview how close he is with Daryl so maybe he might follow him to Wire and become an assistant.

Good luck to Shenny with whatever he does next.

A brilliant career and has bled Cas in a way that we all want as supporters of our club.

He has represented the club and the town in an exemplary manner and he has my gratitude for that.

Shenton has been the epitome of a loyal club player and deserves all the plaudits being tabled by the fan majority.

I do hope he goes on within the RL fraternity and become a very useful addition to RL in general in whatever capacity he may choose or be offered.
