Yes, against St Helens I believe. It was very disturbing at the time.

Maybe just maybe radford was asked if he wanted to resign Holmes n Mata'utia n he chose not to so they had to look elsewhere? Iv not seen it anywhere say Holmes n Mata'utia turned down an offer from cas to sign for wire

From the article on the clubs website;

‘Both Holmes and Mata’utia were made offers to extend their contracts with the Club but will be looking to end their time with the Tigers on a high note before embarking on new challenges in 2022’

Home ğrown talent is cheaper in the salary cap but if they don't want to stay so be it.

My gripe is that DP will know the offer made by Cas and our limit. It makes it so much harder to retain our players.

We should have made a condition of DP being released from his contract that he can't sign or players unless they were released. Hard to police I know but he's doing us over. Wait until he targets qereqere and others.

The problem is if we let him good, we don't know if he hasn't a copy of each players contract or who we'd get to replace him until radford comes in. I would presume all his staff would leave with him.

Contract knowledge is meaningless. Agents will just tell him/Warrington instead to bump up the offers.

It is what it is.

Haha i stand corrected, I'll try again maybe they were offered lower contracts as radford didn't want them 😬

This is the more likely scenario for me. Radders says yes, I'll keep em but I want better for my first 17 so offer them less than they're on at min and see what they say, not bothered if they choose to go as already have sufficient support players.

According to a piece on the BBC website Holmes is leaving because DP has asked him to. That is from Holmes himself so anyone that didn’t think DP would ask players to join him can forget that thought.

Does anyone think any Hull players under Radford have been asked the same questions?

Warrington didn't want to sign Holmes because of his injury record, but, Daryl insisted he wanted him to join him over there.

Radford had already left hull long before he signed for Cas

I know that.

My question was does anyone think he has gone back to Hull asking players to come to Cas.

Nothing to do with when either of them left or are leaving.

Maybe another Griffin at Cas would be good, a centre maybe?

Given he’s injured he would fit right in at Cas 🙈

The big question for me wasn’t if Powell asked him, but when. If Oggy had had discussions with Cas and didn’t like/take up the offer following which Powell asked him that’s very different to him tapping him up at an earlier stage.

To be totally honest, I don't think Oggy is going to be that much missed where a replacement of equal calibre is sprinkled all over SL and therefore easily replaced.

On Peanut and his recent form, he will take a bit of replacing as he is showing how effective he can be with his strength and guile ! Shame we couldn't hang on to him but that is the nature of player supply and demand and money talks for players in respect of the length of career they all have and where they have to make personal decisions for their families sake at some point !

Peanut has showed some good form recently but he’s also had plenty of criticism this season particularly regarding his defence
I will miss them both but we should be able to fill the gaps.

Yes, your right. But would be great at left centre when fit.
