Re: Peanut and Hoggy Leaving!!!!
The big question for me wasn’t if Powell asked him, but when. If Oggy had had discussions with Cas and didn’t like/take up the offer following which Powell asked him that’s very different to him tapping him up at an earlier stage.Lofthouse Tiger wrote: ↑16 Jun 2021, 16:52 According to a piece on the BBC website Holmes is leaving because DP has asked him to. That is from Holmes himself so anyone that didn’t think DP would ask players to join him can forget that thought.
Does anyone think any Hull players under Radford have been asked the same questions?
Re: Peanut and Hoggy Leaving!!!!
To be totally honest, I don't think Oggy is going to be that much missed where a replacement of equal calibre is sprinkled all over SL and therefore easily replaced.
On Peanut and his recent form, he will take a bit of replacing as he is showing how effective he can be with his strength and guile ! Shame we couldn't hang on to him but that is the nature of player supply and demand and money talks for players in respect of the length of career they all have and where they have to make personal decisions for their families sake at some point !

Peanut has showed some good form recently but he’s also had plenty of criticism this season particularly regarding his defence
I will miss them both but we should be able to fill the gaps.

Both PM and OH have a similar impact on games. They can run strongly, punch holes and make ground.
However, they can also hold onto the ball for far too long and bring attacks to a grinding halt and it happened several times with both players last night

Both good players. Both stood up last night and showed grit. Mafautia best player on pitch. Westerman looked like a great swap for Holmes though. Replaces him directly but adds so much more with ball in hand.
Mamo just put in a great defensive performance tonight. Last night I said Mamo wouldn't have been able to do what Matautia did but v Saints tonight, he looked strong.

Re: Peanut and Hoggy Leaving!!!!
Watching DP talking to Carney on Sky, DP said he only talked to Cas players about Cas, not Warrington, but Hoggy said DP asked him if he wanted to go with him to Wire.
That makes one of them telling lies.
