Wembley XVII

Post by SuffolkTiger » 09 Jun 2021, 21:37

Assuming everyone is fit (bar Feki), what's the thoughts on the best 17 for the final?

Some interesting deliberations...
- Does Greg get a game on the wing?
- Has Fozzy pushed himself into the reckoning after the semi?
- Dan Smith?
- Could the make up of the bench be the key to lifting the trophy eg does Mega start or come on as an impact?
- Can DP leave Jacques out?

All to play for......

Be pushing it for Millo to be fit, if that's the case, just the one change from the semi final squad for me,Eden replacing Clare on the bench.

The only change I'd make to the 17 that played saturday is millo for o'niel or Foster. There's no way in hell I'd let Griffin near the bus to Wembley never mind the 17 he's utter garbage atm, and, I don't see how he can improve. Blair and Richardson only as desperate measures.
what doesn't kill me simply makes me...stranger.

Might be on my own with this one but if we have cover I wouldnt even put peanut or oggy in the 21. Give their places to players who want to be at the club.

No I’m the same. I would do same with Daryl too,it stuck in my throat how much he was celebrating on Saturday (I know there’s only me that probably felt like that).

Get a grip, the coach and players have given everything to Cas last few years and they deserve to be there more than you deserve to get a ticket

Don’t agree about leaving people out because they’re leaving. We need our best 17 out and on form they both qualify

Both played a big part in winning the semi final only right they have a chance at winning the final

Don’t think your on your own feeling like that and I certainly would not play them 2 but they will be the first names on Powell’s sheet

I’ve not turned my back on my hometown though for a pocket full of silver though have I? Have they they really given everything? From what I’ve seen as a squad they did very little the few weeks before the cup semi final.

I think you're just thinking about this season. Cas have been punching way above their weight since Daryl took over and Oli has been a part of that so yes I think they've given everything.

It's a very short career and not a highly paid one, I've no issue with them going for more money. Maybe it's not more money maybe the offer Cas gave them was a pay cut.

I'd definitely turn my back on my hometown if it meant a decent pay rise and they weren't paying me what I thought I was worth.
