Hoping we don’t suffer a hangover from Saturday and the boys are buzzing and full of confidence.need a win to stay in touch for the playoffs.22-18 cas
Re: Hull on Thursday
Interesting one but we know have 6 games - 4 home (Hull, Catalan, Sts, Salford) 2 away (Trinity, Giants) to the Final
With players returning from injury we are going to need to utilise the squad in next few weeks. Matagi getting fitter, Foster good first hit out.
We have Smith, Griffin, Blair, Clare, Richardson, Hepi, Bienek to add in to Martin, Peachey
Will O'neill get a ban (I doubt McShane - but)
Competition for places
Hope Millington fit for final

Re: Hull on Thursday
Time for players to be sticking their hands up to be included in the Wembley 17
Re: Hull on Thursday
Same team for me maybe Smith for Clare if fit.

I think we need to be ready for some defeats in the next few weeks as DP rotates the squad with the aim of having what he sees as the best team available to beat Saints @ Wembley.
We have to negate the Saints pack - especially Walmsley & Robey. Shifting the ball wide early worked yesterday so will be in DP's thoughts no doubt.
I'm still soaking it all in. Fantastic.

So possibly be back for the final, as long as there’s no set backs.fords wrote: ↑06 Jun 2021, 11:576 week I think I read somewhereold cas lass wrote: ↑06 Jun 2021, 11:52 Anyone know how long millington was gonna be out for.

Re: Hull on Thursday
Think thursday squad could see several changes as if players not fully fit and were gambled in cup may need time to recover. Some players may be shot today as adrenaline will have carried them in last quarter and may need to given week off
Re: Hull on Thursday
Got to be careful though, dont want to be dragged into dog fight for relegation. Need to be in that top 6.
Although Leigh really dont look like winning many games so we should be fine.
Re: Hull on Thursday
Think 5th/6th is only real target in league this year catalan will be in there with home games and now finally learning to win away, then wigan saints, ,wire will be around 4th 5th after that anyones as hull, leeds, kr, hudds and us too inconsitant at moment. It's who can have a good run or two over june july time if we do we have good chance of playoffs as have a not too bad run of games at end

Some clubs seem to get away Scott free compared to the amount we get.
Saints and Wigan don’t do to bad, neither does Warrington or Catalan.
If we can stay injury free, we may sneak 5/6th place.
Re: Hull on Thursday
Cup run definitely will effect are league form specially two weeks up to final. I don't agree with it like should be battlin on both fronts

Re: Hull on Thursday
From what we saw v Leeds and the weeks before, you are probably right. Last time we got to Wembmey we only won 1 game between semi and final if I remember correctly.
But as I said before Leeds game, I would take a hammering in that if it meant winning rhe semi. If someone offered me a handful of abject performances and defeats for a cup final win, I would snap their bloody hand off.

Re: Hull on Thursday
Like I've said in a previous post, manage games according to priority. Rotate the squad and keep your preferred 17 fit for wembley. Resting players worked for leeds game, even though the players didnt even try.we still beat warrington which was the objective.
Re: Hull on Thursday
Dennis last time we got to wembley wasn't the final only fortnight after semi if i remember correctly
Re: Hull on Thursday
To be exact think it was 13 days and only game inbetween was a loss to wire i believe maybe wrong but sure it was wire
