Must say I am massively disappointed after donating my season ticket money from last season and buying one this season and we’re basically throwing away our league games. Wish club would just be honest with us and tell us about the injuries

I’m not sure that anyone knows what Powell’s selection policy will be going forward. Let’s judge him on actual performance. Most of the views expressed on his intentions this season have been wide of the mark at best and wild speculation dressed up as fact at worst.
For me the results so far suggest that he knows what he’s doing. 7 wins in 11 games including 2 against the club he has apparently sold us out to, at least one win against every team we’ve played against except Wigan. On top of that he’s taken us to Wembley for only the 8th time in our history and an unprecedented second time as club coach. No evidence as far as I can see there that he’s throwing anything away. Happy to see how things develop.

My god give powell benefit this week i personally have complained about league form but given some players played out their skin not fully fit on saturday i am willing to accept they need recovery this week, i can see squad been stronger from next week onwards

That's also my view, reckon O'Brien, Evalds and Trueman were not 100% fit, but were risked for the semi-final, reckon the short turnaround has prompted DP to leave them out for the HULL FC game, but think they'll be all back for the Wakey game.

It's almost as if they played a hard-hitting, tough Semi-Final not 5 days ago, isn't it? I wouldn't say we're resting players, more that they're probably battered from Saturday.

It will be quite a slow game on Thursday and I'd rather have rested players on that pitch for the last 20 minutes when fatigue really sets in rather than those who are going to be out on their feet.

It's a smart decision imo.
So close, yet so far.

on the positive side the fringe players will be busting a gut with a possible wembley appearance as the incentive. probably one of the reasons DP has done it.

Thanks mate.

If we need an outside back, thought Brad Graham would’ve gotten a game.

I’d have played him in this anyway, would have probably given Bieniek a run as well.
