Massey

Post by heritage1926 » 14 May 2021, 18:57

Penned a new 2 year deal. Will see out his career with us.
“I am obviously over the moon because I’ve made it no secret that I wanted to stay here. This next two years is going to be big for me and it will take me to near the end of my career. I’ve said that if it was possible to finish my career here and this contract might take me to that.

“I am proud to play for this club and I feel privileged to pull the shirt on every week and hopefully the next two years are going to be another good few years for the club.”

Looking to next season and beyond, Massey’s extension means he will be working under new Head Coach Lee Radford in 2022, and he is looking forward to the two-time Challenge Cup winning coach’s vision for the Tigers.

“I’ve had a chat with Radders [Lee Radford] just to chat about the club and things like that. It’s exciting. Not so much has to change but some fresh ideas and a different sort of game plan that he will probably bring is exciting.”

Like Radford comment about untrained eye
Seems to imply Massey haters do not know what they are talking about
Radford seems to rate Massey like Powell

I'm happy with that you need grafters and that what he is.

Good solid player, rarely injured, finds his front most of the time for quick ptb. Every side needs a Massey.

Definitely happy with this. Does the job he’s asked to do and does it very well.

That's a bit unkind when you look at the fabric.
Seriously, a grafter, reliable, low error and penalty count and durable.
Just waiting for the long distance try to round of his hat trick.
One less seat on the Powell Charabang to Warrington.
