Retention for me is paramount, get the spine of our team signed up if we can,if not ,obviously get the maximum amount we can for those departing. If and it's a big if that money is reinvested in the squad there is no shortage of serious talent in both hemispheres out of contract at the end of the season, a large number of which would seriously improve our first 13 let alone squad. Hopefully Radford has his wish list in already with options for every position depending on who we want to keep and who will leave of their own accord. I hope as Radford said in his interview its a case of bringing in a few fresh faces and not a major overhaul, but if its the latter and we recruit well from what's available we could start next season with a real cause for optimism. Down to the board and how much they back him really. Whatever it could either be a fun ride or deeply depressing.

Too much for my brain now,by my reckoning there are rumours of 17 players either maybe coming or maybe going
Evalds- staying or Saints bound.
Trueman- staying or Wires
Mcshane-staying or Wires
Millo-1 year or Retiring
Jsl-Staying or released
Massey-Staying or Whinos
Blair-Staying or Released
Feki- Staying or Released
Faraimo-Rumoured incoming
King-Rumoured incoming
Lawler-Rumoured incoming
Hepi- Rumoured released
Westerman-Rumoured incoming
Matautia- Staying or Wires/Saints
Shenton- Retiring
Holmes-Staying Wires/Leeds
And it's only Wednesday lol. I swear some journalists(like some posters)just chuck things out there and hope something sticks, then say I told you so. Dare say some of the above will happen,a lot won't,I'm as much in the dark as the rest. The Eagle eyed (Or pedantic)among you will say I've only mentioned 16 players, this is true I haven't mentioned Konrad Hurrell.......

Interview with Craig Harrison last night on Facebook. Not looking to move either Trueman or McShane. Both have another year to run or so. Both love the club. The only way that Trueman will move is if a new contract isn't agreed and Cas decide to sell. But said he would speak to Cas first. Was also asked about Massey but can't remember his response.

Re: Toby King said he thinks there will be high demand across all of SL including top clubs.

Also said he had spoken to Mark Grattan yesterday and had a really good meeting.

Either way, it sounds like many of the players will be here next season and silly season has well and truly begun.

If kr beat us to Kings signature that would be embarrassing.

Why?

If true hes leaving wire and wants to join KR it could be he wants to play for Tony Smith again

We've seen players chase money before only to fall by the way side, surely, playing in a side that will help not hinder your career "should" be more attractive. If you think Hull kr are a better prospect than cas then maybe you wear the wrong colours.

Sorry mate, I missed the bit where I said Hull KR are a better prospect than Cas. The career of a RL player is neither longer nor, for the majority, prosperous. I don’t begrudge any player who chases the dollar whilst they’re fit and healthy enough to do so.

What a player “should” do and what they actually do is governed by so many different variables that it cannot be dealt with by a “one size fits all” approach.

No way will Wire allow a player of Kings ability to leave it is just Harrison making sure he gets a decent contract offer from them.
If King does there is no way he would leave a club like Warrington for HKR or Cas.
