Evalds.
Is it me or has he seemed off his game last couple of weeks. Had a shocker last night for me and was to blame for for a couple of tries.

Said the same last night.covid tiger wrote: ↑01 May 2021, 11:28 Is it me or has he seemed off his game last couple of weeks. Had a shocker last night for me and was to blame for for a couple of tries.
Looked poor, just not clicking coming into the line. Couple of errors, which normally are bread and butter to him.
Looked nervous last night.
Maybe going back to Salford for the first time affected him.
Let’s hope he performs better next week.

Re: Evalds.
He was ok last night, nothing more nothing less. Dropped the ball from that kick under no pressure, but made a couple of nice half breaks. In fairness to him, no one was on form last week against Wigan, not even McShane. But played well especially against Warrington and Leeds.
As of last night, he was joint top with Abdull and Lomax in assists this year with 5 and that's from full back, so to say he's not clicking coming in to the line is harsh. Also grabbed a couple himself. He's literally 5 games in with us, he's only ever known one other team and how they play in Salford, he's coming along nicely IMO.

Re: Evalds.
Maybe the bottle feeds on a night are taking it out on him, certainly been below his usual standard since becoming a father.
Re: Evalds.
He’s a decent player but think he just stood out at Salford a bit more then he does at Cas.
No way good enough for Saints who people have said he’s off to.

Re: Evalds.
To be fair his last two games have been against Wigan (best defensive team in comp) and Salford (a team who know him and Cas's attacking plays, via Orr, better than anyone).
Could just be hes been well found in the last 2 games.

Re: Evalds.
He's normally safe as the bank of England catching balls he dropped a couple last night rest of his games been good bit harsh to start questioning how good he his for me

Re: Evalds.
Seems, strange if he as signed for three years no official announcement. Full back normally only as good as you half backs in attacking link play probaly why not hit the straps yet. Definitely not in same bracket as hardaker but he's, one off world's best.

Re: Evalds.
Ready to take some team to the cleaners imo. Just need a couple of moves to click. One i've noticed a couple of times that has not quite worked is the pass back on the inside with Evalds going down the middle.

Re: Evalds.
At the moment, he has 5 try assists and 3 tries in 5 games.
So he's either given the final pass or scored 8 tries this season.
Name a player who has been directly involved in more tries than Niall Evalds.

Re: Evalds.
Think the original poster was on about last night's performance not the season so far they are good statistics. He's probaly about forth best full back in super league at the minute Think the fans need to no the plans are for his future if he his off some were else don't think will be announced till nearly end off season try and not upset apple cart any more. But if he as, signed three deal surley needs anouncing.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑01 May 2021, 13:54 At the moment, he has 5 try assists and 3 tries in 5 games.

So the longer it's not announced the more likely he is to be going? If he has signed a deal, what's the benefit of not announcing that he's signed a deal? Keeping it a secret just perpetuates unnecessary rumour and speculation.

Re: Evalds.
Going back to his performance last night he just looked nervous to me going back to Salford and made a couple of uncharacteristic errors. As far as going forward is concerned, I just wanna see this 3 year deal announced - he’s a great fit for us and in top 3 fullbacks in SL.
Re: Evalds.
Maybe they were waiting to announce the new coach first. Then they will announce players and can get quotes from the new coach too.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑01 May 2021, 14:27I do get the thinking.Derbyshiretiger wrote: ↑01 May 2021, 14:16So the longer it's not announced the more likely he is to be going? Maybe. But that's done now so if he has signed a deal, what's the benefit of keeping it a secret?fords wrote: ↑01 May 2021, 14:52Maybe they were waiting to announce the new coach first. I was encouraged to hear Radford say he's looking forward to working with Evalds, though. I'm thinking he wouldn't say that unless he knew Evalds will be there in 2022.
