Lack of information.
Is it just me, or would anyone else appreciate an update on injuries by the club.
In fact, any information on ANYTHING by the club.
Is anyone in charge?
Has anyone there considered the fans.?
Rant over.

Completely agree we were fed crap about rotation for the Leigh game and then before the Wigan game Powell confirmed an injury crisis? Fans last to know anything!
I understand some news needs to be kept internal for opposition purposes but feel like more because fans have been moaning about injuries during pre season and they don't want any more questions from fans???

Re: Lack of information.
Worst club in the league for keeping the fans in the dark about anything related to the club except when renewing season tickets

Re: Lack of information.
I think the communication needs to improve.
Not necessarily by coming out and denying every rumour, but by managing information.
By the time the club announce anything, everyone already knows about it.
We all knew Evalds had signed months before it was announced. We all knew Gale was going to Leeds months before it was announced etc.
There’s a difference between ignoring rumours (as the club should) and trying to keep a secret that everyone knows.
By the time the club release information, it’s usually an anti-climax because everyone has known about it for ages already.

Re: Lack of information.
I imagine it's chicken and egg with injuries. You tell fans dates, then they hold the club to that, and if setbacks occur then the fans get peed off. Or criticise their processes/staff, blame the club, or all three.
To be honest, it is probably easier to let the coach release what info he wants to release in his press updates.
Regarding any other info, this isn't always down to the club. They have to time it with other stakeholders. It isn't their fault that people can't hold their water with sensitive info, be it players, staff, fans or agents. To be honest, I'd like the club to crack down more on leaks and really tighten up on it.

Not too dissimilar to the point I was trying to make to you on a different thread and to be clear, I agree with what you are saying here.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑26 Apr 2021, 19:46 I think the communication needs to improve.

Re: Lack of information.
Posted this on wrong page but my view on it
Right my view on the pitch this year we seem pretty well so far and have a good balance.
However the questions that I can’t get my head around are these,
Powell contracted till 2022,
Allowed to talk to another club early 2021/late 2020 why?
Allowed to leave the contract he had early to go to another club before we seem to have got our selfs sorted?
Did we get a fee?
Why were we banging 1 year deals out last year?
Why have we got about 10 players going in to 2022 as it stands?
Why are we supposedly bringing in a coach who has a bad history with our main prop who we paid a fee for and who is one of the ten under contract? Why does it seem like we’re gunna be in free fall at the end of this year?
What was happened with wells what did he achieve in his role and why did he leave so quickly?
Is Ian Fulton the man to actually drive the club forward?

I'm not so worthy as to be on the inner track like you.
I'm just a plodding season ticket holder and fan.
Sorry to have questioned you .
You've obviously been a contributor on the Forum for many years.
My apologies.

Re: Lack of information.
Really don’t understand the ‘unbelievable entitlement’ point.
My viewpoint is as a customer. I’ve just bought two season tickets for the second season on the trot just to help the club and with little expectation of getting much for my money.
As a customer I would expect some marketing information at the very least if the club want to keep my custom. If I don’t get it, it may affect my future spending or not on the club. No entitlement there.
Mind you the European Super League debacle shows the power that fans who believe they are entitled can have on organisations who try to keep their customers completely in the dark.

Re: Lack of information.

This forum is renouned for jibber jabber (absolute [REMOVED])
Just because the club hasn't announced the new coach we should protest?

Re: Lack of information.
Absolutely not. Made it very clear that my point does not relate to entitlement, but just commenting as an aside that fans who under your criteria consider themselves entitled did have a major influence on secretive sporting organisations.
My point and I was absolutely clear about it related to my position as a long standing customer who will take account of the club’s marketing ( or lack of it) when making my future spending decisions
