Leigh up next
Re: Leigh up next
i dont think we will know till late in the week to see who is fit the lads must be aching all over after Fridays game the only one that went off and did not return i think was Chesne
Re: Leigh up next
I would rest a few players for sure after Friday. Will be a lot of aching bodies. Still need to put out a team what can win though.
Evalds back at full back
O'brien and Richardson in the halves (Trueman back in week after and Richardson out)
Eden in and rest Shenton or Turner
Would like to rest McShane but he's our MVP so not sure we can.

Re: Leigh up next
Just watched a re-run of the Leeds game and Blair did'nt come back on after the head knock, Maybe playing in the pack is too physical for him at the moment. Other players are making more yards than him, If we are going to rest players for the Leigh game i'd rest him.

Re: Leigh up next
Not coming back on after a head knock is taken out of the players and coaches hands through the Head Injury Assessment protocols. That’s like saying GOB not coming back on v Warrington was his own fault.harrogate tiger wrote: ↑11 Apr 2021, 17:58 Just watched a re-run of the Leeds game and Blair did'nt come back on after the head knock, Maybe playing in the pack is too physical for him at the moment. Absolutely. He surely can’t be criticised for that.Fumper27 wrote: ↑11 Apr 2021, 18:10Not coming back on after a head knock is taken out of the players and coaches hands through the Head Injury Assessment protocols. Unfortunately, some will always take an opportunity to stick the boot in. Even when the facts don’t support their viewsTamworth Tiger wrote: ↑11 Apr 2021, 18:38Absolutely. Re: Leigh up next
Looks like Leigh struggling on the injury front, four definitely out and three classed as doubtful. With the strength in depth in our squad we should be able to rest anyone struggling after the cup game and still have enough to put them away.

Agreed. They put that much in to the Wigan game on the opening day that they don't seem to have recovered. Between them and Wakey for the drop, but think they might just edge it.
Re: Leigh up next
dare i say it might be a good time to try Martin he as not looked shabby when given half a chance i will sit back and wait for the flack having dared once again to suggest a young player be given a chance

Re: Leigh up next
Powell won’t play youngsters unless he has to but I agree I’d like to see him given a go again. Reminds me of Joe Philbin when he first came through where he used to run and tackle at 100 mph.
Re: Leigh up next
Well the early betting has Cas at an unbackable 1-14,or if you fancy Evens Cas giving Leigh a 22 point head start. Way too short in my book but there'll be plenty who'll take the handicap odds.
Re: Leigh up next
Anyone know if you can pay £4.95 to watch the game on Our League App? I know season ticket holders can watch it. I would be willing to pay the club for a code to watch it if possible.

Re: Leigh up next
Great question usacas.
I e-mailed ourleague@streamamg.com this evening and asked for some help with it.
I don't understand why it's free (I think) to season ticket holders but anyone who is unable to have a season ticket (mainly geographical reasons but there are others that apply) can't pay to watch - even if it was more expensive than £4.95. The fact that we can't go to games at the moment makes it even more difficult to understand.
I've had the standard RFL response back ("as you are a season ticket holder....." ) but will update when something more helpful comes back.

Re: Leigh up next
Ridiculous if you can’t pay to watch it - they are streaming it anyway so what’s the issue? Well, we know the issue - 3 letters, RFL! If they won’t do it then the club should use it as a chance to make a few quid and sell streaming codes for non ST holders.

Exactly. I would always prefer to go and watch a game live but there are times when it's just not practical when you don't live locally.derbystiger wrote: ↑12 Apr 2021, 23:30 Ridiculous if you can’t pay to watch it - they are streaming it anyway so what’s the issue? All clubs want to get fans into grounds but there is a balance to strike by providing a pay per view offer for those that can't get there - even if it's not a live stream. I'd happily pay £10 to watch Friday's game.
