Leigh up next
Leigh up next
is this the time if we are going to rest players we should do ? Watts kept going but as not reached the form of last season where he carried our pack in a number of games he may need a week off to get right, did Blair go off injured ? who of the players missing will be ready for next week ?

Re: Leigh up next
Not sure who’s injured it not.
But I’d like to see Eden Back on the wing.
Rest Shenton, put turner Center and Eden wing.
Not sure how far off O’Neil is, but if he’s fit, bring him in.
Evalds as had a week off so he should be. Ready to go.
I’d put GOB 7 and leave Richardson out.
As for the forwards, I’d like to see bienek given a start.
Or at least on the bench.

I’m not a fan of resting, particularly this early, but I can’t argue with that OCLold cas lass wrote: ↑10 Apr 2021, 09:34old cas lass wrote: ↑10 Apr 2021, 09:34 Not sure who’s injured.

Re: Leigh up next
Don't think players need resting after three matches if theve being playing with injuries yes I'd leave them out no disrespect to Leigh ...it just looks like Wattsy for one isn't himself we've got players who can come in and let's have a look at them
Can't see owt but a home win

Re: Leigh up next
I think that performance in the first half last night helps, I think we showed up expecting to tonk them with players missing and being crap and by the bearest of margins dodged a bullet.
Leigh are poor, but are going to win a few/couple, we have to start better to make sure it is not us. Didn't see last night, so wouldn't be able to give a view on who I would rotate.

Re: Leigh up next
Given we’ve just played nearly 100 minutes of RL freshening things up a little might not be the worst idea, they’ll be a few guys feeling it this week. Wholesale changes would be daft but a few fresh legs wouldn’t go a miss.

Re: Leigh up next
Let’s be honest we should be beating Leigh by 40 at home.
There a championship team at best.

Re: Leigh up next
Think after last night a freshen up would be sensible. Assuming no new injuries or returnees I'd go:
Evalds
Eden
Matuita
Shenton
Turner
Trueman
O Brien
Watts
Mcshane
Smith
Holmes
Blair
Massey
Griffin
Bienek
Milner
Hepi
Evalds
Eden
Matuita
Shenton
Turner
Trueman
O Brien
Watts
Mcshane
Smith
Holmes
Blair
Massey
Griffin
Bienek
Milner
Hepi

Re: Leigh up next
Is this game down lane, or is it at a neutral ground.
I’m just so confused.
Not sure where our home is any more.

No idea!
Possibly on the pitch in the grounds of what was Cas High Lower school - opposite the Magnet (where the Go With Noakes puddle scene was filmed)
Not sure if the Magnet is open though or if you can get a haircut...

You can have a pint on a bench outside at the magnet.......hope it’s not snowing.
Sounds good, cas high pitch. Less than 400 meters from my house......will it be a free be.
Seriously.
Yes the leigh game is down lane and if your a season ticket holder it’s free to watch on our league app.

Re: Leigh up next
They're currently getting hammered by Huddersfield, who don't look like they've been out of 2nd gear yet. Ship it wide and it looks like a lot of points will be scored against them.
Re: Leigh up next
i dont think we will know till late in the week to see who is fit the lads must be aching all over after Fridays game the only one that went off and did not return i think was Chesne
Re: Leigh up next
I would rest a few players for sure after Friday. Will be a lot of aching bodies. Still need to put out a team what can win though.
Evalds back at full back
O'brien and Richardson in the halves (Trueman back in week after and Richardson out)
Eden in and rest Shenton or Turner
Would like to rest McShane but he's our MVP so not sure we can.

Re: Leigh up next
Just watched a re-run of the Leeds game and Blair did'nt come back on after the head knock, Maybe playing in the pack is too physical for him at the moment. Other players are making more yards than him, If we are going to rest players for the Leigh game i'd rest him.

Re: Leigh up next
Not coming back on after a head knock is taken out of the players and coaches hands through the Head Injury Assessment protocols. That’s like saying GOB not coming back on v Warrington was his own fault.harrogate tiger wrote: ↑11 Apr 2021, 17:58 Just watched a re-run of the Leeds game and Blair did'nt come back on after the head knock, Maybe playing in the pack is too physical for him at the moment.
