Officially ruled himself out of the job in local York press. Says he is happy at York and excited about new stadium and wants to take them to super league.. That's one down then.....
Re: James ford
Can he rule himself out for a job that he hasn’t been approached for?

Re: James ford
Ford hasn't ruled himself out of anything and neither has his Chairman. Ford has issued a statement that is very similar to the ones given by DP before his Wire appointment was announced.covid tiger wrote: ↑08 Apr 2021, 14:38 Officially ruled himself out of the job in local York press. Re: James ford
If we approach he will come.
He won’t get in super league with York anytime soon there not good enough to challenge the top 2.
If he does come I’d rather him come now and learn from Powell for rest of year.

The chairman says no approach has being made... Cas have announced we are already in advanced stages of the recruitment process... Even if he wanted the job sounds like he was never considered.

He was quoted as saying he did not know what the future holds.... Don't think that was a denial...jackknife wrote: ↑08 Apr 2021, 17:27You mean just like Powell did with the Warrington jobcovid tiger wrote: ↑08 Apr 2021, 14:38 Officially ruled himself out of the job in local York press. Do we really what a, new, coach with out any kind off cv apart from York. But on other flip side, if other coaches look at are facilities and finances might be hard to attract a reckonised coach can see Sheridan being made up if not following powell to Warrington. Then we hope its Sheridan that's being behind are recent decent few, years not powell .

Sheridan is off with Powell, Mc Dermott is the new coach.
Re: James ford
Mc dermont cv is secound to none but would cas fans take to him maybe if comes in and we start getting instant success.
Re: James ford
But that was a lie as he clearly did know what the future holds. The Wire job he agreed to !!covid tiger wrote: ↑08 Apr 2021, 17:58He was quoted as saying he did not know what the future holds.... Re: James ford
Mcdermott is believed to have met with Ian Fulton and got the top job. Also joining in an advisory capacity for rest of this season.

Re: James ford
You have now even started to contradict yourself as that’s not what you said on the rumour thread (Brian McDermott thread). To remind you:covid tiger wrote: ↑08 Apr 2021, 18:59 Mcdermott is believed to have met with Ian Fulton but that's as far as it's gone as have 2 other candidates.
So, which is it??? Brian Mac is the man or he’s on a shortlist of 3???covid tiger wrote: ↑08 Apr 2021, 19:05 It's Brian Mac to Cas. Also Expected to take up an advisory role with the club immediately before becoming head coach in 2022. Got this from the same bloke who told me Wells had gone nearly 2 month ago. Let's wait and see.

Re: James ford
It's simple for me and my mates who go to the games together. We do not want McDermott after what he said about Castleford Tigers and that to us is what he thinks about the fans too..

Think you need to put what he said into the context of what he was talking about. Ie spreading the game further afield with larger crowds.
