Even tho you loaded the question. Its overwhelmingly obvious most of us agree to him finishing the season .

The man has lied to us only a few days ago, why should I trust his statement of intent for the season.?
We need a coach installing asap

I don't think DP every lied, he did the usual non-statement of concentrating on Cas, trying to win something here. He also stated why he was leaving. Not lies but not necessary the whole truth either.

The doom and gloom on here and social media is unhinged. Anyone would think that we've just gone back to 2013 and on the brink of administration.

I think there's a genuine fear that is the way we're heading. Over reaction yes, but having been there and done that and then been lifted by the changes in 2013, it can be hard for some to see the positives.

Dp stated he did not have a club to go to in my eyes that’s a out and out lie

Or, when he made that statement he hadn’t yet taken the Warrington job. So, whilst slightly bending the truth, he didn’t actually lie?

There are many on here who often put two and two together and come up with a sausage.

Gratton said last week in the fans meeting we had a shortlist now.
They was over a million free in wages next season which we would be spending up to the cap again.
New coach applications have been asked to say who they would keep let go and want to bring in.
Also they would after watch videos of games and say how they would change things in different scenarios.
Powell also joked he didn’t wanna get sack as well if we had started Badly after last years shambles after lockdown.
at the time of that meeting cas had played one game. so the prospective replacement coaches were supposed to say which players would stay and which would go on the basis of seeing 17 players play once.
could be true but i doubt they would have even asked that question.

Exactly. Also, theres the possibility that he was under a confidentiality agreement. Maybe, the re negotiation of his contract involves him leaving under a compromise agreement, of which he will have to adhere to certain conditions. None of this will ever be known by us and, to be fair, it shouldn't be known by us. To call him a bare faced liar I think is being a little unfair to the bloke.

Everyone knew Justin Holbrook was leaving saints when he won the grand final... if the team/coach is good enough it clearly can be done.

Not to another team in same country/division. Even the media have said its a first for super league pre announcing a coach move. Players are OK to do it as they can only influence there own performance where by a coach controls recruitment/contracts and could poach players. They must trust him?
