I had a fancy for Turner, first scorer for us, that being said, I think they will score first.
Cagey first half, we fix it up at HT - 16-32 in the end.
Macca MOTM.
Turner first Cas try.

On the basis that there are 2 sure things in life...death and taxes, with another that you rarely find a bankrupt bookie. Current odds look to be 4/1 Hull KR win and 1/2 Cas win. 'Nuff said!

I know what you're saying but Betfred recently demonstrated another reason why you rarely see a bankrupt bookie - they don't always pay out when they lose. Thankfully that had resulted in the correct outcome but there are days when they occasionally get it wrong.

My money's still on Cas though but I am the opposite of a bookie... #-o

Betfred as just lost a 3 year court case against them for 1.7 million pounds when a gentleman won on bandit and they said it was a glitch in the system so they wouldn’t pay him out so he took them to court and won

Why get rid of him after the start we’ve had this season and a real opportunity to play at Wembley?
If it’s true that he’s tapped players up, and it’s a big ‘if’ for me, the damage, imaginary or otherwise is already done.

I would hope that DP has enough integrity to not use this final year at Cas to take the opportunity to cherrypick our team. He is leaving on his terms, the club have granted him this consideration, Working with these players on a daily basis gives him the opportunity to sow the seeds, let’s hope he has more about him...

I was willing to give DP the benefit of the doubt after confirmation of him leaving, and that he'd be leaving with the dignity I always thought he had in tact, but this is quickly draining away.

Any other job, you would be put on garden leave, if you were going to a competitor. Where does Cas finish and Wire begin in his life right now. Obviously can”t sit back and let things take care of themselves. Different for Radford as he’s not in work and able to do deals without affecting anyone.

I for one wasn’t as overjoyed as most people when Powell signed his last contract (and before anyone says anything), I’m not just saying that now because he is leaving, but I honestly felt it was a contract too many (as it was for some of the players). Top teams like Saints and Wigan don”t have coaches for 6 & 7 years, it’s 3 or 4 tops. They continue to develop and evolve.

The situation is ridiculous now, and yes we are in a semi-final, but let’s put it in perspective, we have beaten 2 of the lower ranked SL sides and taken us GP to do it. We aren”t playing well, but are just managing to get over the line. What is wrong? with that I hear, but for me Powell should go now, before he completely undoes all the the good things he has done in his time at the club.

In terms of perspective there is also an 80% win record in the league with third place and the only defeat away at the team in 2nd place in a game that went the distance.

With 3 of those wins again sides in the bottom 4. Leeds, Salford, Leigh. Let me be clear here we can only beat what is in front of us, and on paper it’s a good start, but let’s not get carried away. Powell has to go before it’s too late and we can start to plan life with out him.

Agree Ronnie it was a mistake the club made there was more than enough time to get a new coach in before the season started
We should have gone out the cup at HKR now we have every chance of getting to Wembley that would be great for everybody but it dosnt alter the fact the correct decision would have been to get rid of Powell in the winter

Is Rugby League unique in sport, by announcing during the season that a player (or coach!) will be leaving for another club at the end of the season? E.g. Danny Orr carrying on playing for Cas after announcing he will be going to Wigan.
I certainly can't remember it happening in football.

Footballers coming out of contract can sign a pre-contract agreement with another club from 1st January in the year their deals end. However, I believe this only applies if moving to another country.

Maybe, but we are where we are and I don’t want another performance like the one we had when Raper upped sticks to Wigan mid season.
