HKR next up
First game of the Challenge Cup last 16 on Friday evening.
HKR got a bit bashed up vs. Saints. Highly likely to be 8 SL sides in the quarter finals. Need to turn over the Robins & hope for another favourable draw.
Terrible bad luck for Minchella who has been influential for them.

Re: HKR next up
I thought JSL and Hepi were poor today, so I’d be looking at giving Bienek a run and using O’Brien on the bench.
I’d rest Shenton, play Turner at left centre and give Eden a run on the left wing.

Eden should be starting every game.

Can’t believe how rubbish JSL is now.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑02 Apr 2021, 22:10 I thought JSL and Hepi were poor today, so I’d be looking at giving Bienek a run and using O’Brien on the bench.

Re: HKR next up
I was very disappointed today. Last year I thought he was trying too hard to make the big impacts and it wasn’t his natural game.Mucky1978 wrote: ↑02 Apr 2021, 22:19Can’t believe how rubbish JSL is now.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑02 Apr 2021, 22:10 I thought JSL and Hepi were poor today, so I’d be looking at giving Bienek a run and using O’Brien on the bench.

I’d be interested to see his stats from today. I don’t think I remember seeing him make any metres, but I did see him dropping the ball cold, missing tackles and conceding penalties.
Re: HKR next uy
My guess would be a “mixed” team:
Evalds
Eden
Turner
Graham
Olpherts
O Brien
Richardson
Bienek
Milner
Millington
JSL
Blair
Smith
O Neill
Hall
Massey
Peachey

I can’t see us losing this one.
We have a far better team. Just hoe DP doesn’t change it to much.

Re: HKR next up
We're a better side with Griffin and Oneill in hope there fit
Eden for Olpherts Obrian for Richardson
It can be a tricky place to go sometimes but big disappointment if we don't get to the QF

Re: HKR next up
The trouble is will D.P still be with us if we get to the final. ?
Re: HKR next up
I think Powell will go as full strength as possible. Its his final season and he wants a trophy. I can see us beating them but end up with a tough away game in the Quarters.

Not a joke at all.
I think we should rest who we can, give run outs to our fringe players and put one or two youngsters in (Gateman will love me for that ). Take the opportunity to use the squad and see whose ready and whose not for the more difficult challenges down the road.

Thing is DP as targeted the CC as a comp he wants to win.Fumper27 wrote: ↑03 Apr 2021, 11:25 Not a joke at all.

So I can only see a full strength team out on Friday.

Re: HKR next up
I suspect we will have a tactical gamble to play some people who are fit, but haven't had any games.
HKR have been rubbish.
It will be an even game if we shuffle our pack, which I probably would if I was coach. It is a long season and looking at some of the fringe players and letting some of our older players have a break feels sensible.
