Would love to know what DP said in the sheds to turn around the worse 40 we’ve put up for a long time...

Re: HKR next up
Great finish to the game. We were screaming when Turner went over. Dominated field position in overtime and had numerous good opportunities before the winner. TBF the lads did amazing to come back from the dead.

Re: HKR next up
Notice how reluctant the ref was to award any penalties in extra time?
30 mins, players knackered but nobody did anything wrong!

Bless your cotton socks, the players deserved a verbal after the first half. I think most people went through a full seasons emotions in that one game, and i bet their "egos" arent as big as your haloBrummietiger wrote: ↑09 Apr 2021, 21:44Agree with some of what you say but not all, but I sat watching (as some were listening) to the game like others and yes it wasn't pleasant and I did huff and stuff very loudly at times but I wasn't tempted or as very eager as others on this forumto jump to the keypad to slag the team off as vehemently as some did on here just to try and jump up their own egos.KB80 wrote: ↑09 Apr 2021, 21:35Not sure about personally I think fans need to vent at times. It was an awful performance and an effortless 1st half. Take Mcshane out of the game and we dont get anywhere near a comeback.Brummietiger wrote: ↑09 Apr 2021, 21:17Agree, yes we were poor at times, especially defending the line, but to come back from the dead twice showed a lot of guts and determination. Quite a few on here need to hold their head in shame more than the lads on the pitch tonite. Just as well Cas never gave up on themselves as quick as a few did on this forum tonite.Surreycasfan wrote: ↑09 Apr 2021, 20:26 Out of good humour I read every post on here after calming down having watched the game.
Yes we were poor defensively but some of the comments are embarrassing. Some of our lads ran their blood to water to get us over the line. If we get behind these boys it might just be our year.
Ever heard the phrase ‘their name is on the cup after that’? Maybe just maybe....
Relieved to win, but we looked a mile away from a team building something special. Mixed with off field disruption I think most will be slightly concerned for the remainder of the season.

Gutless from the ref, korbin sims and another occasion laid on which was definitely a penalty in golden point time

I thought once you’d paid to watch live you could watch full replayBrummietiger wrote: ↑09 Apr 2021, 22:19 Just watched that last passage of play in the 80th minute for the equalising try over and over again and what an outstanding try that was; O'Brien to Holmes to Shenton to McShane and then finally Turner, outstanding play and worthy of any winning team given there were 10 seconds left on the clock, see it to believe it!

Re: HKR next up
Just to be pedantic it’s impossible to have 3 halves. Equally one can’t give more than 100% and in soccer there aren’t matches of 6 pointers, neither can it be said that teams dropped points as they had zero points to start with. I’m not criticising anyone for using these expressions as everyone knows what they mean, but just pointing out the bleeding obvious if one really thinks about it.

Re: HKR next up
To be pedantic, this term refers to the ‘six-point swing’ of a game, in that one team denies the other the points whilst talking them themselves. The outcome can indeed make a ‘six point difference’ in the league table if one team wins rather than the other team.

We seem to be starting slowly and are a bit soft early doors. This is allowing teams to get on the front foot. We need to get off the bus earlier.

Are these 6 minutes just our drop goal attempts??SuffolkTiger wrote: ↑10 Apr 2021, 23:44 6 minutes of highlights for anyone who hasn't had chance to see them

The numerous ones where it looked like our kickers were using a wet sandbag have hit the cutting room floor...

While I wholeheartedly applaud your challenge to us all that appears to be aimed at improving the overall standard and accuracy of the forum content, I think you need to help us revisit the basics from earlier in the syllabus. Walk before we can run etc.
If you are going to be successful with coaching and guiding us to the threshold of winning literary prizes as a group then we have work to do.
While we still have a preponderance of spelling mistakes that often result in a ramshackle sentence that makes it impossible for the reader to understand what the poster is trying to get across, we will win nothing.
If we are happy with:
- "of" repeatedly being trundled out as "off"
- "are" instead of "our"
- "waist" (of money) instead of "waste"
Then we are going nowhere.
Punctuation is a whole different debate and may need us to set up some type of tutoring programme. Just a thought.
Anyway, reassuring to know that we have someone amongst us who cares passionately about the brand of our forum and wants anyone peering into our community from their spot on the globe to see us to in our best light. Good on you.

Anyone who starts a post with ‘just to be pedantic’ (unless in jest) should immediately stop writing that post and go and do something else.SuffolkTiger wrote: ↑11 Apr 2021, 11:32Morning Ken.Ken Smith wrote: ↑11 Apr 2021, 09:28 Just to be pedantic it’s impossible to have 3 halves.
