If Daryl walks away he’ll be going against everything he’s been saying last couple of weeks.
How he wants to finish on a high and win trophies before he goes.
But this is sport owt can happen.

Unless a deal is done with Powell at Warrington I could also see him going to Leeds. I can’t see them sticking with Agar long term and it could be case of righting the earlier wrongs in his career?

If powell does go early, his reputation will go to zero in my eyes.
I do hope he his a man of his word and will be here to help the club win trophies this year.

Merely platitudes from a leaving coach OCL, this is why announcing a season long farewell tour is a bad idea, we will have endless speculation as to his next club along with all the players approaching the end of their contracts. If we get off to a poor start this season I can see thing unraveling fast.

I agree I wouldn't believe anything he says anyway ...there's so much to sort out with players contracts for next season as long as we've got the right guy in line to take over it wouldn't bother me if he went early

If circumstances change then so do people’s thoughts and ideas. DP has said what he has with the situation as it is now.

Who knows what he will do if things change?

What if we start poorly and lose more than we win?

If he is offered a job that appeals to him then why wouldn’t he go if things change?

Who’s to say the club won’t release him if we start poorly and we have a replacement?

DP has said he will stay and help the new coach. Really? Why would a new coach want that? Unless it’s a cheap nasty inexperienced coach then maybe.

Step forward Danny Orr. Let’s hope not.

More chance of me been the Leeds Rhino’s coach than Daryl Powell

He sees this as a step back in his career.

Got to be honest, from what I saw today, I think Wire need a total re-build. Other than the obvious wage increase, I'm not sure what the pull would be for DP to take the job. Ageing players, OS players that may want to return home, and two horrendous highly paid wingers. What do they say about the grass being greener......

Think today showed aswel how we overate some players or that are signed on big money that are past it.widdop and Austin should be ripping us a new one on reputation.but looked very ordinary.wells made a comment which peed me off aswel saying this was by no means wires strongest team.who were they missing a 2 year retired overweight centre?

I think ultimately he has more chance of winning something at Wire then he will at Cas considering budgets, youth, players and facilities. Even if it takes 3 years and a complete squad rebuild.
