Always thought thought Cas signing Evalds for 1 Year was odd so he will go also. That be Warrington or Hudderfield who knows. Powell has taken Cas as far as he can so dont blame him for going somewhere with more money to spend. My guess has always been Brian McDermott will take over from Powell so watch this space. This is why Cas have signed Obrien on a 3 Year deal, can play well at fullback and in the halves.

Well if trueman and Evalds go, O’Brien can’t play both positions so we’ll need either a new half or new full back.
Bloody crazy.
Wasn't it said on here by many that Evalds had a longer contract beyond 2021? What happened to that? It was it more hope than reality?
I bet the fine details of the extension mentioned it was dependent on Daryl being here. Makes sense.

You've seen him upset and after match interviews, now is that a bloke who is going to lay down this season? Imo, NO he won't. We've had 8 bloody good years out of him and I'd have settled for 4/5 . We are all just speculating at the moment, so let's get our heads together (I know it's a shock) and get behind the club because that's what we do as supporters. 9 more sleeps 🧡🖤💪🐯 COYF

Lofty in sure he still has a ban in the NRL but yes it's wildly optimistic to expect Flanagan to fancy us.

Let's not make a crisis out of a drama.

A steady ship is what's needed at the moment.

Sheridan or Danny for me. Can see Powell taking Sheridan. Good years experience away and Danny returns. For those saying Powell leave now. Give your heads a good wobble

I think we need someone has been a head coach elsewhere.
There is a massive difference between an assistant coach and the guy who is intimately responsible for results.

I get your point. But these assistants have to get a full time gig at some point. Danny ward wouldn't be a terrible option imo.

So we end up with the same people on the merry go round and no chance for any good coaches coming through. Even they were assistants at one point. A lot of p people moaned at cas for recruiting a championship coach last time.

Just my view.
I want to see someone with successful experience of being a head coach, at either SL or Championship level. Or even at the level below NRL.
My preference is Danny Ward or Ryan Carr.

Tony Smith at Hull kr is as good shout with plenty of experience. Feel for him at Hull kr as they have the smallest budget in super league currently.

Tony Smith and Danny maguire?

Can see the Leeds haters incoming....

Have you seen his record for being banned over the last 7/8 years? Why would you want someone with that kind of baggage?

Coaches and players do come and go. That will never change while ever theres sport. If we dont sort the ground out it wont matter whos at Cas because we won't be in Superleague.

What will be will be folks. Whoever we get won't suit everyone. I know it's a big thing DP leaving and I'm as [REMOVED] off as anyone, but it isn't gonna solve anything. So let's just take a breath and think of what DP has done for our club, and he isn't going to ease up just because he's leaving at the end of the season. In DP we trust for one more season 🐯🖤🧡COYF

Exactly. DP has lit us in a position where by the job is, once again, an attractive one. Hope we don’t go the cheap route as in the past - Joyner (won the Regal Trophy with DVDV team), Steadman (wasn’t ready for the job and ruined the academy for a generation, etc
