Cas would do well to announce the Evalds and O Neil new deals quickly I think to alleviate worries about conflict of interest as they are the potential short term contract plays who you could see been of interest to DP/Wire. Cant see Watts/Mcshane leaving and I doubt many of the other players would be big Wire targets tbh.
Agreed; if there is good news about Evalds’ contract, there will be no better time to announce it than right now.
I’m still not convinced that Trueman will leave. He’s under contract for 2022 and whilst everyone has a price, it wouldn’t surprise me to see us try to extend his contract. We have a lot of players out-of-contract and the end of 2021, so the cap space should be there to offer him a decent deal.

In his head they have
Evalds has signed a new contract with us (3yrs) it’s only Trueman who’s leaving cas
We're is this announcement Evalds signed three years
Where is the announcement that Trueman has gone to Wire and Evalds to Saints?
Evalds is staying at cas
Thanks, but you haven’t really answered what I asked. Your post saying Evalds is staying carries the same value as onside saying he’s leaving. Neither of you can back up this claim with evidence, can you?

Evalds has signed a new deal, it'll be announced soon enough, we're all hurting at the moment but you can put your mortgage on him signing his contract

Having slept on the news and reading all the posts I do feel really let down by DP and the club.
Yes he is right to look after himself and family. More money, better resources, a real opportunity to show his skills and win something. I don’t have a problem with that and would do the same.
However...it does feel like someone saying to a wife/husband “I love you but I’ve met someone else and I will be leaving you next year...but I’d like us to have a holiday of a lifetime first”
It should have been kept quiet till the end of the season in my view as it makes us look a second class club.

Cheers bane73. However, there’s a few on here who, if they told me the grass was green outside, I’d go and check....

I've not been wrong yet. I was the one who hinted we signed Wardle, sorry bout that lol, without giving his name as I was sworn to secrecy. I get titbits of info some good, some bad, some in confidence, some not if I can pass it on I will. I may be cryptic at times so read between the lines and you may join the dots

Let’s not forget that there are few opportunities to become a top flight coach, Super League or NRL.
Therefore by definition the Cas job is a big one, and should appeal to quality candidates.
Poor facilities is a negative, but fans, atmosphere, tradition etc are positives.

By very definition, one of the 12 best jobs in Rugby League in the northern hemisphere!

Can't understand all this sack cloth and ashes about Powell going...we've been down this road before...
Derek Turner success at Wembley leaves for L***s no success..
DVDV brought some brilliant players to Cas T, Whispering etc left for Wire
Raper, unknown, came to cas saved us from relegation and subsequent glory ...poached by Goons only to get the elbow..
Powell goes with my thanks....NO ONE PERSON IS BIGGER THAN CASTLEFORD TIGERS....
We end up with another a*******e like Basil, but hey hoy that what you get supporting Cas....if you think we're in the s**t ....then you ain't been at the Tigers when you looked forward to an easy (??)win against Liverpool City (????) rant over.

The new deals will be announced when they reveal the new coach as it won’t be a popular decision. Some of us know IF better than he knows himself.
Just out of interest what is Mark Grattans actual job title/role at the club now?

Well,to be perfectly honest in my humble opinion of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view but also by looking into this matter in different perspective and without being condemning of one's view and by trying to make it objectified and by considering each and everyone's opinion,I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say

The worrying thing is Warrington are not that much of an improvement on the potential between the clubs.
There's far more to this than "a new challenge"
