Question

Post by Piquad1 » 20 Feb 2021, 18:12

The railway line at the back of our ground is it still operational. I was just thinking that's all if we had the funds to upgrade the old lady I was just wandering how much ground we could develop and far back we could go. Just a thought don't hammer me for it. :-$

theres plenty of land behind the hospitality boxes at the railway end, enough room to move the terracing back & make the ground longer, we would lose some parking & mobility spaces, but im sure other areas could be used?

Cheers for that info. Just been scanning the area where the ground is trying to work out what is available I know it's pointless but quite enjoy it. But as stated need funds. Come on Euro Lottery I'd show you the ground we'd have.

To be honest I never really wanted Cas to move to a new ground. The atmosphere at the jungle is the best in Superleague by a country mile. Would be nice to modernize it though so extra revenue could be generated from concerts etc. Need someone with deep pockets to invest as I cant see Fulton doing it.

Maybe if the local Labour Council was more help full to local sports. Maybe we should all vote them out and try different party can never remember the present council last thirty year investing any thing towards, castleford with a few hand outs to wakefield trinity. I would say castleford tigers one off the biggest assets to the local community and good feeling and good for mental health moral for alot off people. To let the pillow off the community old staduim to crumble as it has, is a sorry state off affairs all concerned.

Not everyone does Facebook - any funding pages would need to be accessible to all. As much as I love Cas, setting up a Facebook account to help is a step too far for me

Yea but it needs someone who has the club running through their veins. So money doesn't get syphoned of for other projects. But honestly I think it would be a big ask. If we could get sponsers interested and get new sponsers on board we might have a starting block. It really saddens me to see the club I have grown up with just been left to fall apart. Maybe it's a bridge too far but someone has to do something or unfortunately it'll be following Wheldale and Fryston collierys to the graveyard. And that will be a major loss to Castleford as a town.(Help is their anyone out there). The clock is definitely ticking.
