Back line

Post by on side » 18 Feb 2021, 14:23

Does any body else think are back line three quarters especially still looks very poor. Shenton too old Peter no pace or can't pass very disappointed we not added a out an out three quarters, apart from lad from Huddersfield who am, not convinced what we are looking for.

Well we did have Turner, Evalds and Feki to improve it, and its still OK as long as we dont get any injuries of which we will.
If Feki has gone, Im very confident that Powell will replace with quality in time.

Evalds
Olpherts Mautautia Turner Eden

With bad news on Feki confirmed we look weak wingers and centres hopefully someone can be brought in before kick-off

Evalds needs to play fullback and Stanley, to me, is a centre. Any out and out wingers about?

Definitely take this man, can also cover centre which would be an absolute no brainer if we have the funds

Lovely name for a winger; you have to literally chase Stanley...

Agree Evalds has to be full-back only thing we have another good full-back in GOB so maybe that will be considered I don't know

I believe Wakey are making a play for him.

Wakefield’s strongest area is probably there outside backs so I’d say if we gave him the same opportunity because he’d be on the wing or in the centre.

Wakefield Trinity coach Chris Chester has not given up hope of signing Chase Stanley.

Rugby League Live revealed earlier this month that Trinity were in talks with the New Zealand international, who was a free agent following the demise of Toronto Wolfpack.

Since then, Stanley has returned to Australia with his family but is understood to still be open to returning for the Super League season.

Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, Chester admitted the club were in discussions with the 31-year-old.
They obviously feel he fits in somewhere.

Maybe we just have to wait it out to see who becomes available - we have Eden and Olpherts to start with Clare as back up when he recovers and a few ‘square peg round hole’ options. Not ideal but not the worst situation we’ve ever been in. What’s Jy Hitchcox doing these days? :D

Jordan Kahu is a free agent currently. Ex New Zealand international and probably would do a good job for a year.
