The number of rounds is interesting 25
So every team plays each other home and away plus Magic = 23
Wonder how the two extra fixtures will be done.

I suspect not as they'll both be playing left centre, you'd think. Never know though.
I'm not too worried about a player in his mid-30s who hasn't played a decent game of RL for almost two years.
I'm a bit wary of Greg Inglis though.
Very subtle that Notts.

The first SL game (Warrington at Headingley) is one of the two loop fixtures so we will get to see Tigers at Wheldon Road against Warrington hopefully.

The clue is in the title...given 4th May is a Tuesday and 5th May a Wednesday should’ve been enough of a give away that the information you’re peddling is untrue.
I wasn't trying to mislead anyone, that was the information I was given. My fault for not checking the dates. Time to give my mole a rollicking, but I know it was said with the information they were given by someone in the RL.

So is the plan to play the loop fixtures at neutral grounds then rest at our own grounds ?

I guess there is a balance - playing in one location does increase risks, but there are six distinct changing areas, which can be disinfected I assume between uses. But the balance is that rather than all groups travelling to different places, it is one environment to control.

That's one view, the other view could be that for Sky, it is a lot easier for them to rock up with their kit to one place and televise all the games in one go!

Might be easier to clean one stadium down.
But, four sets of over 25 people, playing staff medical staff is a mixture for disaster.
Controlling half of that is much easier and safer. Just can’t see why games can’t be held at teams own stadiums.
They do it in football. Seems to work there.

My understanding is that it’s to do with Sky. They have one set of equipment and staff used to televise SL, so if there are multiple games on the same day they need to be in the same place.
I suppose they could move each day, but there is then the hassle and cost of moving equipment. It takes hours to set up and dismantle in each location, so it’s more time and cost effective to leave it set up where it is all weekend.

The clubs would go along with whatever sky want if not for there money most clubs in super league would end up semi pro
When they wanted Premier League clubs to play at neutral grounds they fairly quickly told them where they could stuff that plan

I'm hoping they don't say too much on the playoffs because it riles me when they change it to get Leeds in.

If they have any sense, they’ll do two semi finals (1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd) with the highest placed team at home, followed by the Grand Final. This reduces the number of weeks needed.
Knowing the RFL and SL though, we’ll end up with a convoluted top 8 system that lasts five weeks.

However, cannot see how each home team cannot stage their own home games at their own stadium. Would surely be more practical and safer, than having multiple teams in one location on one day.
said this all last season more teams were catching C19 at Headingly than anywere else one of the worst areas in leeds
surely better controll at teams own stadium can be put in control .

Wakefield V Leeds.

Played like the rest of the round at Shedingley.

Why not have this this fixture reversed instead.
Then Wakefields home fixture against Leeds would probably be at Wakefield, later in the season.

I'm not a Wakefield fan. Just believe in fair play.
To be fair, without fans I’m not sure it gives Leeds much of an advantage, if any. They don’t even train on the pitch, so aren’t even used to the dimensions much more so than any other team.
There is a lot in, having somewhere to park, your own changing room, warm up facilities, physio room, easy to get to and from, knowledge of the pitch and surroundings, the list goes on...

Leeds will be not allowing anyone to use their private facilities like the physio etc... And use covid as a reason.

Playing at home is a massive advantage, even more so when it's an away game for them.
