Re: Sponsorship
just been reading about them, sounds like another great addition & well done again to the commercial team.
Re: Sponsorship
Craig Jeffels doing a terrific job, and the beauty of the sponsors we have these days is they actually pay up. In years gone by we’ve had plenty that are great at talking the talk but not so great at signing cheques! Well done to all concerned in the most difficult of times

Re: Sponsorship
I wonder who will be our main sponsor now.
Gonna leave a big hole financially.

Re: Sponsorship
It’s a tricky situation, really.
GMB have signed a contract for sponsorship and their name and logo is all over the thousands of replica shirts we have sold. If they don’t pay, they’ve essentially got free advertising and sponsorship for the year - that won’t go down well with our other sponsors. Admittedly, the playing shirts (I assume) will not display the GMB logo so they won’t have the TV exposure.
On the other hand, we don’t really want to alienate GMB as they muggy return to sponsoring the club in the future.

It’s ironic that a Trade Union decision may result in making people unemployed. Disgracefulnottinghamtiger wrote: ↑15 Jan 2021, 15:08 It’s a tricky situation, really.

Re: Sponsorship
To be honest, I’ve never really understood what a TU gets out of sponsorship. They aren’t a profit-making business with traditional ‘customers’, so sponsorship seems to be an unusual thing for them to be involved in.Bish Bash wrote: ↑15 Jan 2021, 20:21It’s ironic that a Trade Union decision may result in making people unemployed. Re: Sponsorship
I have had some great days racing at Doncaster GMB sponsor the day we get in at less than half price, always thought what the union gets out of it
Re: Sponsorship
If I am being balanced I would say it’s a good way to attract additional membership as rugby league is seen as a blue collar sport. If I’m being cynical it may have been a nice freebie for the full time officers.
To be fair to them they have have invested in the club for many years I’m just glad I don’t pay my subscriptions to a union to be spent on sponsorship.

Re: Sponsorship
Moneys tight if your a rl club or trade union. Unfortunately you have to cut your cloth to suite and sponsorship is first to go.
