No chance.
We don’t need players who behave like petulant teenagers when they don’t get their own way.
Clark is an impact prop who very rarely makes an impact.
When we signed Matagi and Turner you criticised the club for taking Huddersfield’s rejects. Now you want to sign one of Wigan’s rejects who played far less than the ones we have signed.

Not like Flow to contradict themselves!

I think Clark is championship standard at best. He wouldn’t be anywhere near our best 17 at the moment.

I strongly disagree. I think he had a good carry that we've missed since he went and Moors was injured. Would definitely be on the bench as an impact for me. Watts and Matagi starting with Massey, Clark and Millo on the bench.

But that is what the forum is for pal. To encourage differing views for discussion. I accept that our opinions differ but I think the way Clark behaved (going down tunnel after being subbed) was unforgivable and showed a real lack of class

Let’s see where he ends up next season.
That will tell you his real talent.
SL or championship.

I must have missed this. Understand your point now then. At the end of the day the club comes first and you are disrespecting the club and coach by throwing the teddy out. As I say I didn't see that. I just rated him on the field and think that, in terms of ability, he would get in the team 100%

LeagueLeaders wrote: 05 Dec 2020, 16:16 Yeah they'll both do a job as depth in the squad. As far as winger go we have 3 better options for certain and I'd even entertain O'Brien full back and Evalds moving to wing if we were ever that desperate so I wouldn't say we need Clare but it doesn't hurt to have him available. Probably wouldn't cost much. As for Smith, again I can name a fair few options that I'd take instead and for me he wouldn't be near our 17 but he can do a job if we are desperate and given how bad we've had injuries over recent years I'd rather see unnecessary players in than a shortage. Also with the rlwc coming up and league not starting til at least March who knows how crammed the games might be.
For me, Dan Smith gets in our 17 easily. I’d be starting with Watts and Smith and bringing Matagi and Millington off the bench.
We’ve certainly got some competition for places in the forwards next year, but I think they are our four best options in the front row.
Griffin, Holmes, JSL, Blair, Foster, Massey, Milner and O’Neill fighting for the three starting places in the back row, plus a spot or two on the bench (depending on whether we’ll use O’Brien as a sub).
Going to be some pretty established players sitting out when most of them are fit.

Blair and Griffin or Holmes as second rowers. O'Neill at 13. As it stands, Matagi and Watts in front row with Hepi, Massey and Millington on the bench. Imo

I’d forgotten about Hepi.
I’d be going with Watts and Smith as starting props.
Holmes and Griffin in the back row, with O’Neill at loose.

Matagi, Millington, Massey and O’Brien on the bench.

It’s good to have options, but whatever happens there are going to be some good players missing out (if most of them are fit).

GoB and 3 forwards on the bench for me where we can. Maybe just me but I’d go for a utility and 3 forwards over a 4 forwards bench every time if possible.

Blair covers backline and O'Neil / Milner goes 9 n Mcshane covers halfs easy.

If dp wants GOB on bench i see that instead of O'Neil / Milner.

Milner might have played wing before but we might as well forfeit the season if we are planning to have him as our cover on the wing. As for the McShane thing, no. McShane is a hooker. Out and out. And a great one at that. Why would we go swapping players out of their positions when we have O'Brien available for the bench? Also Blair doesn't cover the back line. He covers centre, that's all, and he's proven to be poor at that.
