Positive outlook

Post by Scoopage » 25 Nov 2020, 15:37

Ano we’re still in the midst of 2020 and what a terrible year it’s been in many aspects of life, but I feel there is light at the end of the tunnel as we head towards Xmas and the new year.I’m hearing a lot of noises from the club coaches and players old and new that they really want to make 2021 a massive year and have a real dig at winning a trophy.feel now as supporters need to really get behind the lads and the club wether that’s financially where possible and be as positive as possible.we’ve missed the game so much and for many it’s a welcome release to stroll down lane(hopefully)and cheers on the club we love.COYF

I agree after the year everybody's had and in rugby league terms the wretched way we finished the season for the first time I can remember I was losing a bit of interest but the squad were putting together as got me buzzing again got my season pass just wish we could fast forward three months to the middle of March ...

Great optimism TonyM and it would be fantastic if you are right.

One of the big things I have always believed and followed since I started watching Cas in tough times has been “You just never know”.

Would love to be stood next to you darn’t lane come March time.

Yeah totally agree its been a shocking year and can't wait for it to be over. But i feel 2021 is going to be a big year for cas and will support the club by buying the home kit and some of the training range. And will definitely be heading down the lane when fans are allowed back. So let's all get behind the club and have a great 2021.

I am optimistic about next year, think we have some threats in attack compared to this year. I think by end of march we will be back in the stadium again and brimming with noise.

Agree, been a shocking year but feeling good for next year. How good will it feel just to walk darn’t lane, grab a pint or 2 in the Bootroom and wander over for a burger and kick off! I never thought I’d miss it as much as I have. I think I even miss getting stuck on the 62 going over for an evening kick off over there! I must be going nuts! Let’s hope we can pack the old gal out and get her bouncing again. COYF.

Nice to see the fans being positive about next year.

I don’t want to put a dampener on it, but I’m not getting over excited.
I’m staying grounded, I’ve been there before, all optimistic, then get let down.

If we can get the forwards on a roll, give our backs some room to work, I think we’ll be there or there abouts.

Still 3/4 clubs above us, down to us to emulate them, like we did in 2017.

Looking forward to 2021. We could do with a massive home game to start with, get the fans back in, get McShane parading MOS trophy and get that feel good factor back at the club.

Great thread.

It's been a truly awful year. I've always loved going to watch us play - home or away - but I will value it even more after what we've all been through.

The thought of a game and a few beers is almost magical.

Fingers crossed...... 👍

Its bonkers to think we are nearly in December and Cas are still the very last professional club in any sport in the UK to have a game with unrestricted capacity.

First of all at our first game down lane next year, a moment of reflection for all the people and cas fans that have been struck down never to get up again this terrible year before kick off.
Then the team to play in their memory.

I still live in hope that we'll be closer to the light at the end of the tunnel by March but whenever we start, I'd like to see this gesture.

I know its nitpicking but this is rugby league, when did a season ticket become a season pass?

just an annoying bugbear of mine

I'm just an oldschool guy, will always be a pass to me. Sorry you don't like my choice of words.
