Centre is what we need but we’re after another back rowerderbystiger wrote: ↑24 Nov 2020, 21:29 Well, we wanted some size up front to go with Watts and looks like we’ve got it - one youngster and one experienced. Can’t fault that to be honest. Squads looking decent from where I’m sat. A centre would be nice to round things off but, in current times, fairly pleased with where we’re at.

Calum Turner?old cas lass wrote: ↑24 Nov 2020, 22:06Yes he did say that.
I think one is Mcmeeken.
So it’s down to Catalans to do it when they see fit.
Don’t know who the other is.

From a mate of mine whose involved in the game at SL level (OCL and Lurcher know who) had this to say about Lewis Bienek:
Nice kid bit raw coming from London. Has bags of potential but just lacks any motivation or drive, quite happy to coast along. Hopefully the move might be the kick up the back side he needs to make the next step and start getting some game time.
Hopefully Daryl and the team can unlock this potential.

Vete. To be honest, a couple proven quality props now added, Parcell at hooker and a back line of Hall, Linnett, Kenny Dowall and Crooks. They're shaping up. Although I can see Linnett moving to the back row

Re: Signing news at 6pm
Well if he's looking to be taking part in the world cup he'll need to put some graft in. Don't know much about him tho so can't comment on that one. As for Matagi I know Huddersfield fans were buzzing with the signing at the time. That said, I doubt they're sad to see him go. Definitely been a good player on his day but 33 years old by the season start. Were there no experienced forwards that aren't at the end of their career?Fumper27 wrote: ↑24 Nov 2020, 22:26 From a mate of mine whose involved in the game at SL level (OCL and Lurcher know who) had this to say about Lewis Bienek:

Edit: Before this is taken the wrong way, I'm not moaning. I think there were better signings to be made but as a whole I think he'll go alright. Just a shame about his age
Re: Signing news at 6pm
Experience and age tend to go hand in hand. Don’t really get one without the other. I think he’s what we need, an international prop who can help the development of our younger forwards.LeagueLeaders wrote: ↑24 Nov 2020, 22:36Well if he's looking to be taking part in the world cup he'll need to put some graft in. Somebody a good new coach at Huddersfield dint want 5 years ago would have being worth it
Re: Signing news at 6pm
Powell is in the process of building a young squad, which will see us in good stead for years to come. The likes of Matagi, who has bags of experience will help bring on the young lads. Would you rather we keep our injury prone players who play 6 games a season?on side wrote: ↑24 Nov 2020, 23:10Somebody a good new coach at Huddersfield dint want 5 years ago would have being worth it

Re: Signing news at 6pm
Matagi is an alright signing, fits our needs for next year when maybe an upgrade is on on the market. If we give him more than a 12 month deal though i’m going ballistic.

I wonder if Cas isn’t really for you pal. You don’t like our Chairman, coach, captain, existing players, new players and even the new playing shirt. If I didn’t like anything about my hobby I’d find a new one that I liked.

Well done to the club we needed new blood and this is a sound singing. Also add a new prop plus evalds then we've got a pretty decent squad and should do well next season.

Re: Signing news at 6pm
New center to replace Shenny would be a dream but as it stands I'm much more confident for next year than I was before all this news. Even if Matagi only does a job for a year then it's a start. Gives our youngens an extra year of development and we can sign another replacement when he goes. In regards to Bienek I've heard good things but he's another project that's never proven himself and could go either way. Let's just be hopeful on that one.LeeThorpe898 wrote: ↑24 Nov 2020, 23:30 Well done to the club we needed new blood and this is a sound singing.
