I think oli Holmes target was 2k
I believe he’s raised over 9k.

Kev Sinfield has only gone and hit the £1,000.000 mark. £922,223 more than his original target of £77,777.

Amazing effort from Kevin Sinfield and to see him embracing Rob Burrow and the joy on Rob’s face was such an emotional moment. Also the effort of Ollie Holmes should be applauded. What is it about Rugby League players (and fans) that differences can be put aside when tragedies occur? Rugby League can be proud of itself as a truly family sport, and I’m all for Kev in particular to receive a knighthood in the New Year s Honours List.

Whilst I never really rated Sinfield as a player, you simply cannot knock his efforts for the fund raising for both RB and MND.

It has also provide good, positive coverage of the RL community and what we stand for but I do have a little frustration at the lack of coverage for Oli Holmes' efforts.

Well done everyone concerned.

It seems Oggys effort was a more local one and seems to be more likely Cas fans who donated whereas KS effort was more national and got national coverage which isn't a bad thing. Good effort from both though and of course for a brilliant cause.

The money that's been raised will lead to more trials to find a cure for MND the awareness that's been raised by Doddie Wier and Rob and now people like Kev and Oli raising the funds as been one of the good story's in a dreadful year

Oggy - The Forgotten Fundraiser, the forgotten hero.

I've chipped in with both fund raising efforts now.

Not forgotten , mistimed a little maybe
If Oggy was starting his stint next monday he would get more coverage, the onus this time was (rightly i suppose) on Robs mate and skipper.

Great work by all fundrasers though

Believe it or not, to some degree I agree with that but my point is, why wasn't there room for both stories in the media or is one more worthy than the other? I actually feel Oggy's efforts are more the remarkable because he ISN'T the best friend and former team mate.

The recognition Sinfield has received is very much deserved but I hope the interest isn't because it's one friend devoting time and effort for another. For me, it's one human being helping another.

The media grabbed onto the fact they were team mates and off field pals thats all, i dont think they thought one was more important than the other. All fundraisers, not just these two are doing a great job

They are and ALL deserve recognition.

As I've stated, it's a fantastic effort from all those that have made the effort to raise both funds and awareness. It is one of the few good news stories of the year, even if it is based on the sad impact of MND.
