Re: Junior moors.
Sounds like we are running with a smaller playing staff as well.
Also DP said when asked who is leaving, answer cook moors, and he’ll leave the other couple for their clubs to announce.
So as well as mcmeeken, looks like another is going to another club.

Re: Junior moors.
A little worrying that players can’t be brought in, we’ve been weak this year already with these players in the squad now we’ve lost them it does free up some wage space so hopefully we can bring one or two quality recruits in.

Re: Junior moors.
Sounds like Junior could be championship bound now! Will be nice to see some of the younger guys get a bigger go at times but we still need to be signing 2/3 players if possible To strengthen probs be looking at project players again like Harrison at Fev and I’ve a sneaky feeling Fleming will be staying

Re: Junior moors.
Need some size adding to the forwards with who's leaving. What is Harrison's stats? Doesn't looks as big as his dad did in his playing days

Harrison is tall rather than wide think he’s around 6ft5 6ft6 ish , for me I’d be happy with him and maybe an Ikihifio coming in I think we’d be ok

Or should I say think it’ll be Bienek and Harrison to add to forwards doubt we’ll actually use our quota spots this season

Re: Junior moors.
Good Luck for the future Junior.
Loved those lumbering runs(being generous with runs) but managed to drag several with him creating holes and a few unbelievable tries.
As for recruitment well.
We were wondering how the club would survive.
It will have to cut it's cloth accordingly.
Not the only club.
We had our season or seasons in the sun.
Lets just get behind who ever pulls on the colours.
Lets hope Daryl can work some magic
Hopefully get some crowds through the turnstiles next season.
Now more than ever we need to get down the lane.

He actually said he’d “look” to build around Tanginoa, not he will.KB80 wrote: ↑09 Nov 2020, 17:12No chance on Tanginoa, coach cane out and said they are building a team around him. His 2017 season was one of the best I've seen for a forward at this club in a long time. The ultimate impact player. He's our top earner at the club and taking his previous game time and age in to consideration, it's for the best. Especially if it means we bring in Kelepi Tanginoa from Wakey.

Re: Junior moors.
Enjoyed watching Junior play during his time at the club.
Probably the right time to go, given his age and recent injuries.
In terms of a replacement, Powell has said that we will be running with a smaller squad.
I’d love us to sign a centre and a top forward, but I doubt it’s going to happen at the moment.

Tbf he did, but you just wouldn't make any comment of that nature if he was about to leave.Fumper27 wrote: ↑09 Nov 2020, 20:31He actually said he’d “look” to build around Tanginoa, not he will.KB80 wrote: ↑09 Nov 2020, 17:12No chance on Tanginoa, coach cane out and said they are building a team around him. Re: Junior moors.
Forget Taginoa no chance of signing anyone like him, think it’ll be project signings as stated before we look to light prop wise though now Junior and Cooky are going. Leaves us with Watts and Millo , Smith and Massey to an extent as props and Griffin and JSL who are better in 2nd row

Re: Junior moors.
Watts is one of the best props in the league, and I really rate Dan Smith. Millington is a fantastic player, but shouldn’t be playing many minutes or every gameTigerman2014 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 00:26 Forget Taginoa no chance of signing anyone like him, think it’ll be project signings as stated before we look to light prop wise though now Junior and Cooky are going. We’re clearly light in the front row, though. None of Massey/Griffin/JSL/Foster or whoever else we think of playing there make enough metres to gain us enough ground (I’m not saying they are poor players, but they don’t making the ‘go forward’ metres that are needed).
Kyle Amor would be an astute signing.

Is this confirmed? I assumed he was leaving as he is OOC and Saints have signed Paasi. But they would be wise to keep Amor.

Apparently keeping Amor having lost Thompson Graham Taia and Peyroux. I wonder if we’d be looking at Ta’ai or Matangi from Hudds also OOC and would add Size don’t think we’d get Ikihifio if Watsons going to Hudds now

Matagi has been rumoured before, so it’s quite possible.Tigerman2014 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 01:00 Apparently keeping Amor having lost Thompson Graham Taia and Peyroux. Re: Junior moors.
Yes we are a big prop light. If you look back to the team that got to Wembley & Old Trafford and the years in-between we had the likes of Lynch, Huby, Millington & Springer as starting props, and some big lumps coming off the bench. The lads you mentioned are workmanlike but don't scatter the opposition.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 00:46Watts is one of the best props in the league, and I really rate Dan Smith.
