Re: Grant millington.
Pleased for Millo that we get to see him stick around and let's be fair, he deserves a better send off than would be given this year.
However, he absolutely cannot be our first choice prop next season or to be pushed to do 50 or 60 mins each week. We need another prop and use Millo off the bench to spell players and add some experience.

3/4 of those players are good, Clare is just cheap but what else do you expect from cas.

We as fans need to appreciate the circumstances we are in and accept the reality of the situation.MrRugby123 wrote: ↑15 Oct 2020, 20:423/4 of those players are good, Clare is just cheap but what else do you expect from cas.
The club may not have had any matchday revenue for almost 12 months, with no guarantee of full stadiums in sight.
Financially, all clubs are making cuts. Players have had their wages cut. Many are relying on loan or directors. The transfer market is slow if barely moving at all.
Retention is vital. It isn't a bad move to keep solid squad players when we may have to roll around with minimal changes anyway.

Re: Grant millington.
I’d argue that if we are cost-cutting, we need to let Clare leave. We have Feki, Olpherts and Eden contracted for next year, so already three wingers. Then we have Sanderson who has shown up well. We do not need 5 wingers.HuddsTigers wrote: ↑15 Oct 2020, 21:03We as fans need to appreciate the circumstances we are in and accept the reality of the situation.MrRugby123 wrote: ↑15 Oct 2020, 20:423/4 of those players are good, Clare is just cheap but what else do you expect from cas.

Re: Grant millington.
Sanderson is a centre by nature and I'd argue would be better cover for Shenton and Matautia.
That is if we even keep him. Would also mean Blair moves permanently into back row.

To be fair, I’d be happy with that.HuddsTigers wrote: ↑15 Oct 2020, 21:10 Sanderson is a centre by nature and I'd argue would be better cover for Shenton and Matautia.

Actually, I’m happy that we are improving our first-choice 17 with the signing of Evalds. Most clubs will not be adding many players for 2021, so I think we are already a step ahead.
Would I like to see a new left centre? Yes.
Do I think we need another prop? Yes.
But I understand that we might not be able to do sign three top players this year. But that is no reason to keep a player who has been demonstrably poor for a number of years, when we have three others who play in the same position.
Re: Grant millington.
We need a better player than Blair to replace Mckmeeken as a starter, For all the stick he gets Mckmeeken will be a big loss for us in my opinion

I agree we need a new prop to replace Cook, and I'd definitely keep O'Brien if we can.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑15 Oct 2020, 21:17To be fair, I’d be happy with that.HuddsTigers wrote: ↑15 Oct 2020, 21:10 Sanderson is a centre by nature and I'd argue would be better cover for Shenton and Matautia.

Keep the overseas spaces free for mid-season if we can. Something in our pocket then too.

Ideally, I’d like to see Kyle Amor brought in. No superstar, but his stats are strong and he’s an experienced SL forward,HuddsTigers wrote: ↑15 Oct 2020, 21:52I agree we need a new prop to replace Cook, and I'd definitely keep O'Brien if we can.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑15 Oct 2020, 21:17To be fair, I’d be happy with that.HuddsTigers wrote: ↑15 Oct 2020, 21:10 Sanderson is a centre by nature and I'd argue would be better cover for Shenton and Matautia.

And Liam Sutcliffe to play left centre - I wasn’t keen when he first asked to leave Leeds, but he’s looked good and certainly better than Shenton this season.
I’d like to think we can bring in these two players if we are losing McMeeken and Moors, and still be spending less money.
I agree that I’d like to see O’Brien stay.
