Going on the level of injuries we’ve had for a couple of years, if we are now including our fill ins in our top 17 we have a few more needed

I'd look for a new strength and conditioning coach If we aren't going to sign many players.

Also a training rethink by the coaching team. I understand we are a small club, which is an excuse for some, but Salford's recent final appearance's have blown holes in that.

That should be very high up on the priority list. Ever since Ben Cooper left it’s been abysmal. We took the cheap option promoting his understudy and it’s not worked. I’m sorry but Jamie just wasn’t ready and still isn’t in my opinion.

Mata'utia
Shenton

Trueman

Moors
McShane

Blair
Holmes
Milner

Jsl, Millo, Hepi, O'Neill, Massey, Foster, Cook, Griffin, Smith replacement forwards.
Clare, Turner, Olpherts replacement backs.
O'Brien replacement half or fullback.

Only weakness in that team is Shenton in my opinion. Replace him and I don't think our team looks bad at all for next year

I know Blair plays centre but he's looked awful at centre and was good for us in the back row

Is Moors really off to Wakey?! I’d have thought retirement was his next move to be honest.

I forgot about Cook but are you sure about Moors?

Even still I think we've got the forwards covered as long as we can get some players back from injury. I'd move Hepi or Massey to the starting line up. Hepi has impressed me so far.

Wonder what will happen with the young boys next season?
Can’t see reserves happening anytime soon?
Retain in the first team squad?

Think a few will be saying goodbye

Been involved in rehab for a number of years and I would say the whole injury management procedure at cas needs over hauling. From conditioning to rehab back to full fitness something is definitely not right down there.

This was highlighted by many people on here and for 2 years it has been horrendous. When Cooper”Left” we were told that this replacement wasn’t up to it and that he was t good enough. Boy was that an understatement?

Cheap nasty option in a very key role and it has cost us dearly. We tend to take this option regularly at Cas. Look at the full back situation for 3 years? Then this season with only 2 half backs?

Look at the injuries to Blair and Feki? Do those type of injuries really take almost 9 months to repair?

We have always been and will always be a club that takes the cheap and nasty option with the hope that DP can make a silk purse from a pigs ear. Whilst he has done fantastic with slot of players he isn’t a miracle worker.

It sure if things will. Hangs for the better next year but if DP decides enough is enough then we are totally Donald Ducked.

The strength and conditioning role is so important the way the game is played now
You can't go on saying were having bad luck not over a three year period at some point someone as to be made accountable and changes made

With the speed of the game we really need to move on some of the older players. Millo and Junior have been great players for us but it is time to let go.
I also would like Shenny to do the honourable thing and retire , it's sad to see how quickly he is going backwards after such a fine career.

I still think we should have gone in for Kalum Watkins.

I'm calling it now. Shenton will do another year, we'll then not replace him for another year after that, in which in the mean time, we'll then sign someone that's not a centre, but play him centre anyway in a blind panic. Square peg in a round hole.
