One matches ban for the use of knees.
Didn’t the video ref say no foul play occurred in the tackle. #-o

Re: Adam milner
Plays for Cas so guilty as sin according to disciplinary who has Mr Warrington himself in charge of it - if he did connect why didn’t Austin go off for a HIA ???

Re: Adam milner
From some angles it looked like he didn't make contact and I thought Blake Austin banged his head on the floor as he tried to get the ball down.old cas lass wrote: ↑14 Sep 2020, 18:10 One matches ban for the use of knees.

Re: Adam milner
Even worse from that match Lineman charged with grade F so let's see if he gets it reduced to grade E or gets 8 matches.
Yet again the player should have been sent from the field with a red card, it's time the ref's grew a pair and took the appropriate action. We could have still been in serious contention for the top 4. Before anyone jumps in with we shouldn't need players sent off to win games does this mean that thuggery will be tolerated so let's all have a go. This could be as much as 19 matches given out as suspensions and no action taken on the field.

Re: Adam milner
He did hit his head on the floor and Milner made no contact . However it was reckless going in with the knees . 1 game probably fair . But when Olpherts scored , Ashton did the same thing. Fair enough it wasnt close to the head but leading with the knees is reckless either way .
Re: Adam milner
Think I am in the minority but I did think Milners knees made contact with the head and thought we were lucky not to have penalty try/card. Albeit felt it was reckless not intended.
I dont understand why video refs aren't been used to pick up red card offences in games though (Mackinson, Smithies, Lineham) the retrospective band are just a cop out.

At least with Milner banned now, O'Neill is guaranteed game time again! Every time the lad plays well, he finds himself out of the team.

Re: Adam milner
When it went to the screen, I did think it looked bad. One game seems proportionate, if all similar offences are punished equally.
I don't hold with the conspiracy theories too much, but I do think there is and always has been a consistency issue.

Re: Adam milner
I think Milner was lucky to stay on field, think the video ref got it wrong. Imo he made contact with the head in a reckless lunge with his knee, we would of been screaming for a red had that happened to one of our players in the act of scoring.

Re: Adam milner
It did happen to one of our players, not in this game.
Sam Tomkins did the same thing , not sure who on was either Eden or shenton .
He also got away with it. Must be the norm.

I’m not sure if he caught our player or not.
Someone might recall it.
It was down lane WRE/princess street corner, played for Wigan at the time.
A lot of defenders charge in with knees in desperation to stop a try
If a player is caught by the knees then maybe a ban is fair enough.
Milner imo didnt go in with intent, he went. In in desperation To stop the try.
Milners knees imo did not make contact with Austin head.

Re: Adam milner
No one knowz intent other than the player.
You can't dive in with knees or feet.
Players often try desperately to dave a try using whatever.
At tbe time l thought it was either reckless or clumsy in the subsequent replays my opinion didn't change.
From the replays and the reaction l didn't think there was any contact.
We often see swinging arms potentially high tackles which miss their intended target.
They go unpunished.
Milner is at times a penalty machine but for all his faults and frailties l like his commitment.
Accepted the one match.
Oneil gets another opportunity and more experience.
The disciplinary outcome is however yet another anomaly of the system.
A system few other than officials and Red Hall have little faith in.

Re: Adam milner
So savelio gets a game ban for use of the knees.
Then Gets it rescinded and gets it over turned.
No wonder DP gets livid with the RFL/discipline.
It’s farcicl.
