I reckon Powell is putting out the rumours so he can take him and Jake with him to Warrington, when he announces he will be named as their new coach from 01/04/2021.

Looking forward to him running out in 2022 when he’ll be playing for a new contract.

News comes out he's training well so the usual suspects come out with a big injury rumour.

It's quite transparent at this point and I'd be shocked if it's true.

This place is full of people who revel in misery when it comes to Cas and I swear you'd rather see the club fail than succeed.

That's very optimistic. He'd still have to get through pre-season first, surely?

I’m along the same lines in my thoughts - too much of a coincidence that a positive article gets printed about him and within hours the ‘out for season injured’ rumour is started. Feki is an easy target for this type of rumour as most will believe it and spread it around because of his ‘no show’ last season. Only my opinion, we all have them, and I still think he’ll be running out against Wire.

If the rumour does turn out to be true then, yes, I think we need to be looking at some sort of agreement with him - he won’t have done it on purpose though which, reading some comments, you’d think he’d planned it. As frustrating as it would be he doesn’t deserve people giving him grief - come to an agreement, part ways, wish him all the best and move on. Again, only my opinion.

With no evidence, I personally think this rumour is untrue.

I hope it is.
If so, I hope the trash brigade on here will eat a large portion of humble pie.

Can't see it happening.
Keyboard warriors are full of wind.

They will just move onto the next piece of garbage.

Gale is out for the grand final, Trueman has gone to Warrington etc

I appreciate rumours are merely that until confirmed but some of the posters on here making reference to it being his achilles are not the usual scaremongerers.

Keeping my fingers crossed...

How is it being a keyboard warrior posting a player as suffered a serious injury ?

Heard that's him done for the season. I'm all for helping players out, especially in this current climate, but surely we can't be paying another years salary for no game time?

Eden & Olphers on the wings, use the money and quota spot on a prop IMO.

Well, my thoughts were wrong then!

Has to be time to work out an amicable agreement and part ways then, unfortunately.

The latest in a confetti of red flags that we are getting something massively wrong with conditioning.
There is absolutely no way players should be suffering Achilles ruptures in training. This isn’t an ‘unlucky’ injury; rupturing an Achilles’ tendon is a high impact/high speed injury can only be done if the tendon is being put under massive stress - it’s not like a knee that can just twist awkwardly. What on earth are we doing in training that can result in such an extreme injury? Either the conditioning is awful or the physical level and intensity of training is dangerous.
This has been coming. For three years we have been regularly picking up muscle and ligament tears in training; it should have been an obvious sign that something was going seriously wrong. You’ll always pick up strains and sprains, but players shouldn’t be suffering high-grade injuries in training.
