Biking on the lowest level of resistance is a very early stage of rehab for an Achilles, so he’s probably been doing that for a while. Being sat on a bike is no sign that he will be back earlier.
That said, Kev Brown didn’t miss a whole season when he suffered the same injury in pre-season 2019, but it was August before he played,
All depends on the severity of the injury too, I guess, but I can’t think of anyone except Brown whi has returned in less than nine months.
If it was a complete detachment of Achilles, it takes a long time to heal.
I was 8 months potted up, then getting all tendons and ligaments back in order takes at least another 8 weeks. A lot of you lads on here will know about the ins and outs of the injury, but for those that don't, to repair, is like trying to join the bristles on two shaving brushes together. One of the worst injuries a sportsman can have.

the lad as had some shocking luck and you must feel for him, but on a selfish note if he left we would not miss what we have not had

I'd love nothing more for him to return early, play and show his worth. He is the type of winger Radford likes, stocky and powerful. The way he's been laughed at and ridiculed on here and social media has been disgusting, so be nice for him to stick it to a few.

The players welfare has to be paramount and central to any decision. He may feel he would be better served by agreeing to leave Cas, return home and work hard through recovery in more comfortable surroundings.

He may feel he owes Cas a great deal and wants to return the support they have shown him.

It certainly shouldn't be a case of cast him aside and replace him, no matter how bad we feel about his efforts for the Club.

Or like anyone else with long term health issues, he's desperate to get back and the club are doing the right, and honourable thing, of standing by their employee.

Stealing a living for me would be someone who isn't putting any effort in. The misfortune of injuries is something that happens in the game and isn't down to the player

Exactly. Surely people saw how an Achilles snapping can render a player in agony when it happened to Josh Griffin live on TV. Do those same people slagging off Feki think Griffin did his on purpose to “steal a wage”?
