I'd give it the Wayne Bennett approach when the cameras zoom in every time a player make a mistake

Somebody needs an eye test. Is failing sight a side effect of multiple aliases on this forum?
Re: Powell
powell is one off the best coaches we have had to finish top off league is a great achievement by its self . Like any business management team can stay too long at the helm don t matter how good off a manager you are. You can get too close to personal after long period and people stop performing at high level for you. They usually use five years as a yard stick before refreshing the top management think most clubs do this apart from few exceptions . Think being un lucky with some off are recent big money signings from Australia not good enough for position signed or carry injury's . Powells biggest down fall for me he gambles to much when obvious for all to see what position we desperately need new players but continually seems to wing it playing personal there who are not up to that position with certain skill set . Would i change present manager to give new live in to the club is a gamble in its self if we are still under performing when we have full team out which as being a while i would say definitely we need fresh ideas but lets see if we can ever field full strength team first.

Re: Powell
Nothing libellous in there, Warrington and their accountants have the management of the salary cap down to a fine art and use every possible dispensation to their advantage, within the rules and clever. Burrell for example classed as "new talent" shows as zero on the salary cap for 18 months, clever stuff. Add in the other dispensations they're taking advantage of and they can be operating legitimately within the cap. The downside? The dispensated players are obviously earning more than is recorded on the cap and that money has to come from somewhere hence why the Wire have a £1.4 million shortfall. As a club we might not be as fleet of foot when it comes to utilising the salary cap but in these uncertain times when future income can't be guaranteed not having contracted marquee players and dispensated players on our books may leave us in a healthier financial position. No doubt Warringtons directors will come to their aid,Cas sadly aren't in that position.

Re: Powell
Don't know if it has been mentioned elsewhere, but wasn't John Joyner coach of the year one year, then seemed to be bulletted after about 10 minutes the following season?

Supposedly, just as it was/is in Aus, until Melbourne’s accountant remembered that second draw!

It's time for him to realise he needs to let players go and rebuild. Get the right players for his style of play.
