Giants have now signed a top quality centre in Leutele
He is the exact quality signing that we urgently need but sadly Huddersfield Giants have landed him
Mark my words that the Giants are going to be challenging for trophies and also finishing above us in the SL table for the foreseeable future

Giants have a money man that can afford these players, we’ve seen it before and we’ll see it again that buying lots of good players doesn’t always make you a good team but yes Huddersfield will be strong next season.

Can have all money you want but can still only spend the same cap amount as us.

You honestly believe all teams spend the same amount ? Marquee players etc which Cas never get for starters plus paying extras through houses, cars back handers.

I would rather be in our position with our current coach and squad, than have Huddersfield's debt, which currently stands at £15million quid!!!

Be logical mate. Leutele may be the signing we need, he would also be a signing most teams would like also, but factor in he was on £450k at Toronto, he probably won't be on that at Huddersfield, but will probably be in the marquee signing bracket at 31 year old. I never want to see this club throwing 100's of thousands at a player ever.

Obviously we don’t know what he’s on at Huddersfield, but I agree with this sentiment. I’d love to have him at Cas, but the best teams spend the biggest money on the pivotal players at full-back, half back and hooker.
They’ve spent big on a centre, but I still think they are lacking at full-back and hooker. Aston Golding and Adam O’Brien aren’t good enough for a team who want to win trophies.

Maybe Evalds would be their target after his one year deal with us?
Certainly Watson knows how good he is.

I think the side is strong enough good spine strength in depth If Powell gets his mojo back think he lost it a bit after lockdown if we can stay clear of the crippling injuries of the last three years and if we get fans back down lane when the grounds buzzing it's worth at least six points
Few ifs but if it all comes together next season we will have a side that can beat anybody and win a trophy

No doubt about that. Watson said Evalds is the best player he's coached. For me, he's top 3 fullback in SL.

Although, Saints fans seem to think Evalds is an option for replacing Coote when he returns to the NRL, who is incidentally OOC at the end of 2022 also.

Hopefully we will announce Evalds and Oneill on long term deals ASAP otherwise every week there will be rumours there off somewhere else for 2022 and beyond that would be a shocker tbh

If Powell can get our squad in to the top 6 next season he will have done a remarkable job. Our squad is better and more balanced than the last few years but the top sides have also improved.

Is Evalds definitely only contracted for 1 year.

Sounds ominous to me not only about player but coach as well potentially....

Yes, but there must be something in it with a contract extension if he triggers it etc. Not a chance would we chase someone of his calibre, to give a year deal, just to lose him to a rival after a year.

If Cas have only signed him for 1 Year that's madness.

well as the money from Sky has just dropped by half, I consider it madness to offer longer contracts until we know for certain when our other major income (crowds), will be back paying cash.
