Hull on Sunday.....

Post by SuffolkTiger » 10 Sep 2020, 22:38

Make or break for the season as Top 4 is as good as gone....

Same effort levels as tonight will give us a chance - just can't see us repeating it after 2 days rest & Hull resting players tonight.

Very frustrating at the moment....

We had 5 or 6 missing ourselves but that didnt fit the narrative. Probably doesnt help but warrington were the bookies favourites for that match even after clark pulled out.

But sense is wasted on some TT. We had 10 missing the other year and beat Warrington. These things happen. Dust ourselves down and move on.

Hodgson
Olpherts
Mata'utia
Shenton
Clare
Trueman
Richardson
Watts
McShane
Massey
Holmes
Foster
O'Neill

Milner
Millington
Griffin
Hepi

Wouldn't play Eden or McMeekan again this year.

I’m sure I’ve seen or heard somewhere (could be dreaming) that chase blare is back Sunday.

It could be interesting.

Go on then? name the 10 players that would replace the 1st team players actually playing today. This team comfortably beat Hull last weekend, and was very lucky today

If believed, then Powell could be coaching against his new team Sunday...

I just worry that we have put all our eggs in the wrong basket, trying to get in the top 4 when it was an almost impossible task, and end up also losing on Sunday. It`s season over if we lose on Sunday, which we could do, as most of the team will be doubling up within less than 72 hours against a Hull team who took the right option and rested players.

I think Powell was right to go for it last night. Up until yesterdays game, we was in a better position than FC for a crack at the top 4. Had we won, we was well in with a chance, with Wakey, FC, Huddersfield, Leeds still to play, however, the current top 4 have too many games on us.

Hull will probably fancy a crack at the cup now and I don't fancy us on Sunday as it is. Not sure where we're are at right now mentally. I'd like to think Powell will go at the cup all guns blazing now, but we're in a bit of a sorry state right now. I would take resting players and finishing near the bottom of SL to have a go at the cup.
