Really?
29 games in 2016.
23 games in 2017.
19 games in 2018.
21 games in 2019.
Most of the games he missed was due to non-selection rather than injury.
His only long-term absence was an issue with his vocal chords that prevented him from speaking.
Compared to some of our forwards, Cook is a stalwart in the pack.
So Cook is not training with Cas before the re start because he's injured

It does leave us needing a 2nd rower, unless the plan is to use griffin and hepi there to cover Princess, and Evans for Cook.
To be honest, Princess is a luxuryi and doesn’t offer as much hard work as griff or Hepi? Maybe we have a second rower to come in. Sutty?
2nd rowers, griffin, holmes, Jesse, foster, blair. 5 players to cover 2 places so why would we need another 2nd rower?
There’s only one specialist back rower amongst that IMO, and none of them what you’d regard as creative out wide?
Well I'd be happy with any of them in the 2nd row. Mc meekan was hit and miss and to be honest he's going to Catalans because he couldnt get the money he wanted. I would prefer any money to be spent on 2 good props.
Foster barely plays and his career must be in doubt at the sign of next injury, Holmes has chronic knee problems which won’t go away and he’s likely to be out for months at a time if he falls the wrong way.

Jesse is going home shortly or so we hear.

Blair isn’t a Proper second rower and doesn’t have an offload game

Griffin is more of a prop in my view, he’s not creative at all; similar to if you put massey in the back row!

That leaves us needing a second rower if Princess is leaving, in my opinion. A specialised one.

I agree with Mysterio. A Willie Manu / Michael Smith type second row would suit our play hugely.

Griffin played his best rugby for Salford in the 2nd row, Blair as also played his best rugby at Cas in the 2nd row. If Jessy is leaving then I agree he needs replacing but theres plenty of competition for 2nd row.

When Saints were in need of a second rower they went and got Zeb taia who has a running game and a very creative offloading game. We need that type.
Griffin foster and Blair have nothing going on in that department. Neither does holmes for that matter.

I agree that a Michael smith type second rower in place of Princess would be exactly the order of the day

Mike gets an unfair bashing on this forum. One of the best second rowers in the comp and a massive loss for us.

The 2017 mcmeeken was world class.
The 2018/2019 version as been very poor.
This season he’s just showing glimpses of his 2017 form.

Agree OCL (but that’s only because you’re in my clique 😏😉😏😉).

Shame if he decides to leave but I’ll show him no ill will. He was a major part of our 2017 form on the right edge....

Could it not be argued that none of our players who are still here from 2017 have lived up To how they played that year? A bit mean to single just mike out.

That statement is far too objective.
It was quite a unique team performance.
With so many players playing with utter self belief.
I still remember going to the Grand Final thinking we are bigger than Zac massive blow as it was little time to come up with a plan b
The rest is painful history.
So after all that waffle.
I have to agre with Leeds Tiger.

I thought we really improved last season, as a team on our right edge when he came back from long-term sickness.

However, we luckily have a good flexible squad with in-depth cover. We'll be OK.

My god, because someone gets a dodgy nickname folks think he’s being picked on! Lol.

Thing is, mcmeeken has been work shy and soft for the best part of 2 years now and Isnt worth the 90k+ I expect he’s expecting .
