Looks like we play every other team twice as it should be - the true SL champions crowned after 22 rounds after a top 4 play off to the grand final. Brilliant news.

It will be great to have rugby league back , other teams will be looking forward to facing Cas on a neutral ground a lot more than coming down lane in front of a big crowd to meet our team id say

I don`t like the idea of all matches being played on just three neutral gounds. Are Warrington, Saints & Leeds going to play all their remaining matches at "home"? If so it gives them a massive advantage over all the other clubs and calls into serious questions the integrity of the competition.

Yep. Certain teams are going to have a massive advantage.

It is either that or no rugby, which do you prefer? Also, it’s not like they have the home crowd cheering them on. If anything, playing at their own ground with no support could be a bigger detriment to their performance. If so, do the “away” sides always have the advantage?

Use 4 grounds 2 in Yorkshire 2 in lancs, say Huddersfield and Leeds Warrington and Wigan or saints leeds play at Hudds for away games against yorkshire teams for example.

That's a fair point mate the first week the championship football came back there was only one home win so it may not be a big a advantage playing at home with no speccies

I disagree.
There might be a very small advantage for teams playing on their home ground, but I do think it’s negligible. The biggest element to home advantage is home support, and that won’t be an issue. The teams don’t train regularly on their playing pitches these days and there is barely any difference in terms of the size of the pitches between the stadiums that will be used.
The choice is to take this approach or have no RL, therefore rebating more Sky money in 2021 and putting clubs at a higher risk of collapse. A very marginal advantage (if that) to some teams doesn’t outweigh the need to get the game re-started.
Anyway, we do pretty well at Headingley - even against Leeds. The biggest difference to the outcome of a game is always the performance of the team. Get that right, and it won’t matter where we are playing.

Surely the ‘home-away’ side will play their game at one of the other two stadiums on the relevant week.

I think it’s a fair point to challenge this.

I know I’d prefer all of our games at wheldon road, especially when all of our moves are practised on our own blades of grass.

There are differences in the size of our pitch and other, more modern stadia which will impact us in two ways. We are at a disadvantage when playing at other grounds and we lose the impact on other teams visiting us.

In addition, if we utilise the crown noise during games, it seems to me that, in football, the home sides have crowd noise of thier home supporters. So whilst there may be 'no crowd', there may still be an advantage those clubs that can host games?

Of course, this is better than nothing but worth noting nonetheless..

The crowd noise is added for the TV viewers - you can’t hear it at the stadium!
I think we are over-thinking this. The biggest difference between winning and losing is the performance of the team. We’ve been relegated twice playing home games at Wheldon Road, so it can’t be that much of an advantage. Similarly, we’ve had some good wins on large pitches such as St James’ Park.
I think there is an argument that every game should be played on a neutral pitch (eg Leeds not playing at Leeds), but if it means getting the game back up and running then it’s a minor issue.
