Re: Returning Players from Injury
feki is a no brainer for me and has to start. olpherts has the other wing spot until injury or a drop of in form. i've always thought from early in his career that clare had all the ingredients to make a decent center.

Re: Returning Players from Injury
I think most clubs wont start full contact training until the start of august to take full advantage of the furlough scheme, but that will leave them with only a couple of weeks before going in to a proper game.TonyM wrote: ↑10 Jun 2020, 10:34 Think it will be interesting to see what happens once training resumes. With money being tight and lads coming off furlough once training begins maybe you’d get an idea on team selection as it’s quite possible some fringe squad members may remain furloughed or go part time training which is an option come July and remain furloughed? Obviously the main squad would return but wonder if the full squad would be included. It’s a lot of cash to all of a sudden lose from the government if there’s no intention for the player to play? Just a thought. Tony
Re: Returning Players from Injury
I’m sure I read in a press interview that DP wants at least 4 weeks preseason with the boys. Tony
Re: Returning Players from Injury
With the signing of Olpherts and Feki a think DP is wanting to play a little different on kick returns and get straight on the front foot.weve already seen this from Olpherts and it’s something Feki has in his locker,so think these 2 will be the starting wingers

Re: Returning Players from Injury
Got to agree with this. Clare and Eden are now for me seen as back up players as DP has a slightly different way in which he uses the wingers as Scoopage points out. Clare isn't at the level of the other 2 and Eden as we know is prone to errors.
These decisions can only be good for the team and the club as we now have cover in many areas. I see the club now at a stage of improving the weaker areas and improving as time goes forward. Absolutely why the club made the decision to keep DP instead of someone lelse when the situation arose. The on field future looks good just now. DP is the man to thank for this.

Reserves have now been scrapped haven’t they?
Re: Returning Players from Injury
I'd play just about anybody in the haves before Mcshane the way he played the first series of matches at 9

Re: Returning Players from Injury
2017 are back ups half’s backs was Benny Roberts , Tom Holmes & Jake Trueman . 2020 our only back up half is Callum Turner ? It’s all most laughable . Too many of you are too slack to see the decline of our strength in depth in positions

No need for name calling and offensive comments.Tigersbarmy wrote: ↑11 Jun 2020, 15:18 2017 are back ups half’s backs was Benny Roberts , Tom Holmes & Jake Trueman . 2020 our only back up half is Callum Turner ? Maybe people don’t comment because they believe that Daryl has a plan that he’s chosen not to share with us

Could that plan be a short term contract for Rangi ?Fumper27 wrote: ↑11 Jun 2020, 15:44No need for name calling and offensive comments.Tigersbarmy wrote: ↑11 Jun 2020, 15:18 2017 are back ups half’s backs was Benny Roberts , Tom Holmes & Jake Trueman . 2020 our only back up half is Callum Turner ? Doubt it mate. Think, if we get an injury to Jake or Danny, we will “muddle through”.Sharlotiger wrote: ↑11 Jun 2020, 16:40Could that plan be a short term contract for Rangi ?Fumper27 wrote: ↑11 Jun 2020, 15:44No need for name calling and offensive comments.Tigersbarmy wrote: ↑11 Jun 2020, 15:18 2017 are back ups half’s backs was Benny Roberts , Tom Holmes & Jake Trueman . 2020 our only back up half is Callum Turner ? Instead of just bashing other people’s opinions, why but voice your own. That adds more to the debate than just bitching...
