The good thing for me is we seem to have learnt the value of players and if they cannot see the benefit of playing at Cas potential wise then they can go.

I like Smith however he is replaceable

Milo 1 year ext no worries
I agree. Millington yes another year. If Smith is asking too much show him the door.

It will be a shame if we have to lose Smith as he as proved his worth with us. He is probably the only player in the squad who deserves an increase as he was on a relatively low wage having been brought in from Fev in the championship trying to get his career back on track.
Smith will only improve with us and is at the right age to become a regular member of the 17 man squad for years to come.

I’d be more disappointed to lose Smith than I am to lose McMeeken, or potentially lose Millington or Moors. He’s hitting the right age for a prop and suits our style of play
However, he’s no Liam Watts. I think Watts makes other forwards play better, Taylor was a better player at Hull Fc when he had Watts setting the standards. Likewise, he’s leading the way for Smith. As long as we don’t lose Watts, we’ll be fine.

Are you still confident we've signed Kane Evans ? Either way I'm sure another good prop will be incoming if that happens Smith dosnt make my starting 17 he has done ok tho and in yesterday's RLE it said we had made him a offer he's just decided not to sign it that's fair enough he does whats best for him
I said few weeks ago we wouldn't be able to keep everybody with three expected incoming
If we have a spine of Evalds Truey DR and Mcshane Watts and another good prop then there's more than enough good players at Cas under Powells coaching to make us one of the favourites to win a final next season that's how I see it

It has been interesting to note that Kane Evans has not appeared for the Eels these last 2 games and whether this is a result of injury or the club standing him down due to an impending transfer is debatable - Does anyone know why he's not played or who is in the know on this ???

Has this been confirmed by the media giants known as Cas Tigers?

Not yet. Think it’s on Total RL page, who also say that James Clare and Daniel Smith have signed deals to stay at Cas.

I apologise if this reply is too pointed for those forum members who’re of a sensitive disposition. I also apologise to those who feel left out by my replying to Flat Capper. It doesn’t means we’re in a clique...

I like Grant Millington, as both a player and a bloke. However, I hope his body is up to another season and it isn’t a repeat of Andy Lynch throughout the 2017 season.

Great news if true. I honestly don't think it would be a repeat of the Lynch situation. Grant will go out next year on a high, with a ring! You heard it hear first :D

A great impact player off the bench.
We do though need another prop for next season.

Nah OCL, you must’ve missed the posts where by it was confirmed, in The Rumour Mill, as a 2-year deal..
