Millington - Yes or No
Re: Millington - Yes or No
I can’t bring myself to say no.
I’ve tried...
I want to say yes tbh, especially if we have an opportunity And the time is right to recruit a top class younger model.
However, having said all that, I still say no...lol.
1 yr can easily turn into 2 or Even 3 through to 37 if his body is right.

I also think If we let him go and he signed for wakefield for example, I have little doubt he’d dominate our Pack when we played them!

Re: Millington - Yes or No
He’s already said he won’t play for another club.
So I take it he’d retire.
My gut feeling is he’ll get another 12 months and then retire.
I wonder if he’ll go back to oz or stay here.
The club may find him a position for him here.

Massive yes.
Re: Millington - Yes or No
Keep for another year, he can bring through younger squad members and still make a contribution on the pitch

Some of these threads are ridiculous.
Are people so bored.
If we get rid of Millington we might as well go the whole hog and do the same to Watts, Powell and a few more.

Re: Millington - Yes or No
Barring Watts, a 60% fit Millington has been better than any other prop we've had in nearly a decade. That's how good he's been and if people are undecided, look back on the SKY games we've played this year and look at the things he does that you'd miss watching live. Absolute no brainer. He'll go down as our best SL over seas signing and you wouldn't argue with it.

Feel we should be getting him involved in coaching at the club. Hes an intelligent bloke and comes across really well rugby wise. I'd give him another year but with a proviso he works with the junior forwards. (Probably already does)

Re: Millington - Yes or No
Massive yes for me. I’d give him another year with an option of a second.
Re: Millington - Yes or No
A big yes from me as he has so much to offer and can bring on the younger guys. He has stated he just want another year and take it from there when that year is up. He does not want to play a year too long and I trust him to make the right decision when the time comes.
Re: Millington - Yes or No
Yes, because, he's a leader who can help bring on a younger guy his knowledge of the game n our play style are invaluable. No because of his age n fitness... Delete as applicable.
what doesn't kill me simply makes me...stranger.
Re: Millington - Yes or No
He can stay as long as he likes for me. Upmost respect for the guy!

Really upped his game again so far this season. Great leader and would love to see him get another year.
Interestingly, another of those who actually know what they’re on about, in the Massey fan club

This is getting ridiculous. There was the same thread on here, even with the same name started 18th May and 10 days later we have another one!
I know people are bored but come on, get a grip.

Yes - true professional that has never let the club down. Hopefully he will stay on in a coaching capacity when his contract is up.

Re: Millington - Yes or No
Hit the nail on the head for me. Love to keep him. Great leader and role model. Served us well and fits the culture of the club. Found some form again this year and done big minutes. But cannot have sentiment if we want to move forward so would not keep at expense of being able to sign a top class younger forward. Ideal to be able to have both but this is Cas...nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑28 May 2020, 09:37My instinct says yes.Lofthouse Tiger wrote: ↑28 May 2020, 09:32 Millo would like another one year deal with Cas for 2021. What are your thoughts, yes or no?
It’s a big Yes from me
But if signing Millington for one more year means we miss out on another top player who might be around for much longer, then we have to be ruthless. Or if signing Millington means we don’t have the cap space for Sene-Lafeo, then we need to prioritise.
I hope he stays, though.

My apologies guys for starting a new thread when it was already there. Didn’t realise.
Still, a decent debate anyway.
