Was in the League Express just after the Toronto game that he turned down a contract offer, which will no doubt be why the club turned their attention to Evalds.

Doubt he'll be playing for a top club. He's championship level at best anyway.

He’s been decent this season but not worth keeping just for a squad player.

Give Bailey Hodgson a chance a fullback till the end of season if that’s the case like Leeds did with Jack Walker.

Why wouldn’t Rankin come back we have him for the season?

If he has gone back to Australia during the pandemic (I have no idea if he has or not) and doesn’t have a contract next year, it might not be worth coming back. By the time he’s continued to pay rent on his house (again assuming he rents, but most overseas players do) and paid for flights back to the UK to see our this season and then flights to return home for good (if that’s his plan), then financially it might not be worth returning.
Cas might be agreeable to that too, if we can use his salary on Evalds coming in early.

Is that because Evalds doesn't want to play for Salford again with all the abuse he's had and the club are looking at bringing him in a bit earlier?

Hey hold on a second, Jordan Rankin has given his all for us. You can tell when a player is giving everything and I’ve seen that a few times from Rankin,

We must not forget our old friends for our new ones, and although we obviously needed to maximise our Ability to sign a high quality full back there is no doubt Rankin deserves our respect and thanks.

Yep, he’s always looked like he wanted to be here and has put in 100% effort.
I don’t think he was ever the long-term answer to our full-back position, but he’s given his all during his time at the club.

If he’s gone home early does that mean we could bring Wardle back in?😄

If Jordan has returned to Aus I wish him well and thank him for his efforts in a Tigers shirt. He never gave less than his best while here which is more than can be said for some of the others.
